Engie exclusive tool, can be set on binocular slot, if you disarm the mine you get some points 5,10,15,20 or max 25 points, depends of what devs wish, also engie exclusive perk for be able detect mines around
not sure larping for mines is a good idea ( even though i suggested it ) but i like the sound of that
( primarily for… ugh… pves to unlock routes and have more dynamics to the mines themselves while still being able to do something about it that it’s realistic other than just shoot it, or blow up)
what are these routes you speak of ?
Most maps are so horribly choked up its not funny, hence the double down on mine effects because players are so channeled into the choke points.
The easy fix for mines is to have players be stopped to lay them. The inverse of that is that your Engineer could be “abstractly” equipped with a mine prod and as long as you’re walking slowly enough you will detect mines in a 2m radius of your soldier - that could be an easy compromise.
may come to a shocker to you, but there’s more than a straight line in every map
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright
least delusional enlisted player right here.
i’d still like the mine detector thingy or… defuse kit because it’s more realistic.
we shouldn’t be relaying on HUD too much.
it’s one of the thing why i like enlisted ( even though, still opposed to the markers, mortars range visions for mortarmen, tank provability penetration marker etc )
but, i suppose a matter of opinions.
if it has to come down to that, i guess why not.
Seriously ? coming from you ?
Look at the end of the day its the easiest coding fix to make without any significant changes to the game which many of the other suggestions entail. Good enough for government work as they say.
could have been said by literally anyone else.
it wouldn’t have made a difference.
mines aren’t gonna go anywhere.
and most likely are here to stay.
I think you’re deflecting now, particularly as your last remark is off topic. I never said for the mines to go anywhere. But I’ll leave it at that. I expected better from you.
expecting players to stop using them it’s a very long stretch.
but good luck.
In addition, when engineer equip this, he must see the icons of enemy mines (just like on your HUD when you look at mines that set by your allies). It’s a fair trade for not holding a rifle at the monent: soldier is focusing on seeking explosives, not the enemy. He got some, he lose some, I think it’s fair both for engie and for miner.
that’s not what I wrote either, but I’m not going to go further with this.
EDIT - I see its potentially a translation issue - stopped to lay them implies the player has to be standing still, not stopped “from” laying them…
agree
