It is more about balance and a suggestions.
MG42 was kinda a mess, when new players didn’t understand how it works and nobody shot the MG itself to destroy it, when people having 300+ kills (myself included).
But to get rid of it entirely is kinda not fun. Also that engineers in other squad beside the engineer squad cannot build paks and flaks anymore. So the engineer squad is the only which can fight against air effectively beside air planes (not so effective mostly, depends when you spawn).
So please do something like “if they engineer squad has unlocked building paks and flaks, MG42 → other squads can build them too, but have much more limited resources” like:
- 1 engineer in MG squad → 1x MG42
- 1 engineer in Tankhunter squad → 1 Pak or 1 Flak
Or could make them unlock those squads this aswell.
Currently it is really hard to defend certain points without a MG42.
Also their should be an explanation for beginners in the tutorial, how to use Dynamite and Grenades against tanks in a proper way (cook it) and when you shoot a MG42 with a single bullet it is broken.
People really need to know this before they start multiplayer.

There definitely needs to be an Enginner tutorial in the game. It’s a miracle when someone builds ammo crates or anything greater. I feel like the engineer is one of the most important classes right now, but few people seem to realize how they work.

Engineer 2’s can produce the MG Nest. Must use an Engineer in the Engineering Squad. An Engineer 2 attached to another squad cannot produce the MG Nest.
I apologize, that’s for the Normandy Campaign. Likely a similar level for the Moscow Campaign.
Dunno what game you play, but battle of moscow and i am lvl 14 now, my engineer squad is maxed out. I cannot build MG42 anymore. Axis or Allied Forces, doesn’t matter, no MG42 anymore.
Dunno what game you play, but the engineer 2 squad isn’t unlocked at level 14. It’s unlocked at level 21. So I can only wonder why you can’t build something when you don’t have whats necessary to build it
Yeah it’s the Engineer 2’s and you have to have the last Upgrade unlocked for the MG Nest. Level 23 for Germany for those particular Engineers.
Level 14 in campaign, i maxed out the engineer squad days ago. Wow you people in this forum are really dumb. And again, battle of moscow i cannot build a MG42 anymore, with the maxed out engineer squad or with any other squad with an engineer.
Read correctly before you type crap and stupid replies or let it be. Keyboard warriors without brain is the last thing people need in a suggestion forum. Feel offended.

There are two engineer squads, you have Engineer 1 and MG nest is avalable for Engineer 2 (see the screenshot abowe).
Like i said: feel offended and “it” is dumb, when i clearly say what is the point and he/she doesn’t get it. But feel more offended, maybe you are not “dumb” when it is clear what i said. Maybe i should paint pictures for such smart alecs like you, when the game is kinda wonky balanced in a beta state and i make a suggestion and stupid, dumb people answering, because they cannot read in a proper way.

I’m not sure why the anger here. I literally am taking time out of my day to help a fellow Enlisted player. I thought your point was that there isn’t an MG Nest.
