Its exactly how that gun was to the troopers who used it.
DPs say hello there. Got used to the sight picture of that record player even the tank version with the DT-29 having the much fatter disk.

That’s how it worked and nothing can be done about it. (Unless you mount a colomator on it or something but then you should be shot immediately.) You might try to lower your fov to be more zoomed in.
