Hey, is it just me or is MG131 worse than the DsHK?
I mean, MG131 sight doesn’t even show where the bullet is going to land instead it wobbles a bit(this one is a bug I think). Secondly, sure it has 900rpm but it doesn’t have good elevation for some reason
Mg131 has the same problem of svt38 scoped, you need aim more low wen you need hit target at distance

Barrel is 2 times shorter on MG 131. Gun pays with shorter effective range for being twice lighter and more compact.
There were experiments with using it on a bipod with shoulder stock. Imagine getting that for gunners instead of crap MG 15 in Berlin.
They should have added a Breda SAFAT instead
Yeah I realized that the sights wasn’t accurate so I use the overheating sphere as a refrence to where the bullet lands, it’s kind of tripy though

Excuse with barrel is weird since 9mm SMGs are more accurate than StG/Mkb family and being worse accurate than the AVT.

I find myself depending on the tracer rounds more on this thing than the actual sights itself. Atleast the DShK is much better even if there’s no ability to use the regular iron sights right now instead of the AA sights.
Drums are bad, IS is buggy (but if T-50/T-34 weakspots are buggy, its skill issue), IL2 doesnt have nukes, drum are bad (important to mention again!) and the AVT has worse recoil than FG though reality tells different story.
They do suffer, we just dont see it.

I think the ‘balance’ they had in mind was over the fact that as an aircraft machine gun the MG131’s rate of fire is like 900 whereas the good ol ma deuce is about 400-450, so maybe they thought twice the rate of fire so it gets half the accuracy, tho that assumption is made assuming the sights were aligned properly which they’re not on all hmgs if you’re on any sort of incline
