Hello, is there an error in the mg13 firearm model in the game? According to the actual picture, it seems the opposite of the machine gun grip in the game?
The MG42 model is an absolute mess too.
no.
the handle is independent from the barrel / gun. can rotate freely and can be removed / mounted either way.
as far as i remember reading about it, they were deployed with the handle “facing the triger” because of the rear bipod mount for AA usage. a soldier in the fields could change it otherway if he found it was easy to carry the gun, and he didnt had the AA gun sights / 75 round mag with it.
since most of the weight was in the back of the gun.
with a tripod would be mandatory to change the handle facing foward or remove it completly coz it could hit the tripod mount.
Example of a mg13 without the handle and on a tripod . 75 round mag and foward AA gun sights:
(this pic is wrong on the rear sights, the weapon had a rear independent sight around the normal sight, for the usage on AA but you get the idea. )
It’s not wrong, its WRONG lol. Fire rates are off, sound effects are off as well on all german mg’s. The only legit german mg sound effect is from the mounted mg42 on the Sd.Kfz. 234.
Not just german mg’s its also on allied mg’s. The Bren sounds nothing like it really should.
sound i can agree.also the mg42 on the panzer IV/70 seams to have a diferent more unique sound to it. almost like a proper mg42.
fire rate on the mg13, not so much.
thank you for the explanation
currently the mg42 on enlisted fires the same as an mg34
oh I thought you were talking about mg13 firerate.
as about mg34 and 42 ingame
a maxed out 34 goes around 800 to 880 rpm
as a maxed out mg42 goes 900 to 990
900-1200 round per min mg42’s were the most common on the frontline as far as i remember on my reads.
MMG on “Lafette” tripods, monts or bunkers / vehicle variants and AA gun variants saw up to 1500 rpm. using diferent bolts. the lafette mount had a diferent bolt and recoil spring to acchive 1500 rpm (bolt and spring , besides the optics and all the fire mechanism was part of the kit). otherwise was a common 900 to 1200 rpm (considering the bolt and spring used)
a slower down version with a heavy bolt and less tencion on the spring acchived around 600 rpm was built as far as i remember reading about it., but few saw the daylight on huge numbers.
there was a mg34S with up to 1200 bullets per min cicle rate…
ence we see diferent firerates and sounds on soldier ones and mg42’s on puma and panzer IV/70. diferent bolt on said Mg42’s.
nonetheless. i m talking on my memory from books i read years ago. but you can always google this up.
well the funny thing is the enlisted beretta1918 sounds more close to an actual mg34 than the enlisted “mg34”, hahaha
If this is true and I doubt you at all why even have two different gun’s ?
