MG Over heating

Does anyone know why exactly mg’s on vehicles over heat after like 30 shots? its such an odd balance choice and its extremely annoying for it to happen when you need it.

Its a nerf for tanks and MG nests, IMO only HMGs should have it.

Its a massive nerf I understand you dont want someone openning fire for 20 minutes but you can fire for a MAX of like 3 seconds then BAM over heated now you are disabled for 30 seconds…

not only Mgs, the higher the rpm of weapons the lower the dmg. Mg42 is the worse with approx. 2 secs

does it over heat after like 2 seconds?

because in real life its a lot harder to hit a human, they have to balance god like gaming perspective with a gun that needs to fire more then nerf darts

The MG3 is primarily used as a cover element. In other words, to keep the enemy at bay.
Direct fire is usually only used on mounts or vehicles.
It is fired in short bursts because the recoil makes accurate aiming almost impossible. Except on vehicles or ground mounts.

You can even blow through the belt in one shot. But you always have to change the barrels when they are hot.

“You can blow through the belt in one shot” what? yeah and you do have the change the barrel when hot its just odd that in game its every 3 seconds I know its because of balance but its still annoying they really should just make the mg’s inaccurate but make them cause some effect like suppression making it hard to see or shoot accurately.

Because screw fun

yes because the infantry are having so much fun
