The mg 42 is a very heavy weapon as ive checked one out before and in enlisted trust me when i say carrying it around with the stock on your shoulder is hard so id recommend that when not aiming you have it at you hip but maybe when aiming on your shoulder but it should take a bit longer to aim.
The recoil does feel a bit iffy because this gun packs a punch and when firing it standing it will but quite inaccurate.
None of the LMGs are particularly light, nor were they used the way they are in-game. Change one, and you have to change them all.
Well, you can shoot LMG from hip not terribly accurate and sure you cant run with it or jump! Its fine if those changes are made!
In my opinion LMGs should be split into two categories: capable of walking fire and incapable of it.
1st category would have weapons like: BAR, chauchat (I wrote it correctly in the first attempt, Iâm proud of myself), MG13 or even DP27.
2nd catrgory: MG42 and MG34, M1919A6 etc.
With 2nd class you wouldnât be able to ADS unless bipoded. Similarly to HLL, PS, BFV.
1st would work just like it works now.
Exactly
Actually that would not be authentic.
German soldiers were taught to fire both the MG 34 and MG 42 on the move and it was possible.
If you want to know how it was done, take a look at this WW2 German Heer (Army) training movie âNahkampf: Männer gegen Männerâ (Close combat: men against men) at 10:44 into the movie you can see how it was taught and how it was done.
What is not authentic in Enlisted is how fast the soldiers jump, jump-and-fire, move, fire-and-move and turn and turn-and-fire. The soldiers in Enlisted act as if they are at the olympics and it looks silly.
Nothing in Enlisted looks more ridiculous than the speed with which soldiers run and jump up the hills on the beach map in the Normandy campaign in Enlisted.
Although this comes close:
Iâve said that 2nd category would be unable to fire while ADS (aim down sights) unless bipoded. So the result would be the same as in the video youâve sent.
Probably I wasnât clear enough in explaining my idea, thatâs why you misunderstood.
Ps.
Here is a nice video about hip firing MG
Ai seems to shoot gunners more accurately.
Man he is a great channel
What you wrote was â2nd categoryâ would be âincapableâ of âwalkingâ fire.
And that is incorrect for the MG 34 and MG 42.
Just in case the Developers are taking notes.
Donât put my words out of context plz.
I used âincapable of walking fireâ because Iâm not a native english speaker so sometimes I run out of words to describe what I mean.
Sometimes I run out of words even in my native language.
We can all agree that with heavier machine guns they cannot ads and fire while moving instead hip firing
