Honestly though it was an event weapon already. Yeah absolutely, its such an iconic gun it would be a shame to not have it, and if its not in game already, I think an event would be a great opportunity to give this and the lewis gun out.
unfortunately the MG wasn’t available during an event.
The water-cooled version is very heavy, even probably too heavy, so it would make more sense to give away an MG08/18 or LMG 15:
I’d honestly rather see it in the tech tree. Soviets have the Maxim-Tokarev. Americans have the Browning 1919. This would be the perfect counter.
Water cooled version isn’t much heavier than the Maxim-Tokarev tbh
Frick man that’s the Maxim system
then US should also get that maxim looking gun from the pacific movie (of which idk what that gun is tbh but it does have that iconic big round barrel)
actually that one probably a mount only i guess oh well
So here’s the thing. That could very well be the Maxim Machine Gun, or, it could be the Browning M1917
Also the “iconic big round barrel” is just the water chamber. All water cooled guns have that giant sleeve over the barrel for the water to be poured into
yea as you can tell i dont know jack about gun i just like using them in game
ww1 mg goes BRRRR : ), as BP weapons yes
there was al light cooled version to for troops. this was much upgraded and used in atlatic wall and as last ditch weapons to
light 08/15 upraded post ww1 mg 08/18 - Zoeken Video's
I am more than happy to educate you on firearms my man
tbf, There’s at least a couple WW1 guns already in the main TT, and something like the MG08, was a surprisingly common weapon even when used as a more reserve unit weapon.
well if you think it well in ww1 the mg 08 was massively affective thats the why it was used in reserves
I know, hence I think it would be a decent TT option. I mean I said it already here, but I think the lewis gun would fit well with it in an update
Yeah M1917.
Ive been asking for the Vickers gun but unfortunately ‘vickers gun’ apparently means different things to different people.
When I say “Vickers gun” I refer to the First World War era British heavy machine gun that followed the Maxim gun design (it is quite similar looking to the Soviet M1910 Maxim).
Vickers guns were used by Australians in the jungles of the Pacific in WWII. I believe they were also used in the Korean War.
Look up any picture of the British/Commonwealth in the First World War and there’s probably a Vickers gun there.
Vickers gun also appeared in the film The Siege of Jadotville which is set in the 1960s.
Im happy for the MG08/15 to be added to the game for the Germans.
