Medium and Heavy tanks in battle of moscow?

the tank t34 and the KV1 or KV2 can be added to the battle of moscow, since the production of this beginning in the year 40 then for the 41 would be present, or not?

It could be wounderful. Only thing - how can it be penetrated. Only way is to add 88-flack (8,8-cm-Flugabwehrkanone 41) which can deal with this tanks as well

No medium heavy tanks that are more modern than maybe a T-28 or Pz4C. T-34s and KVs would be plain overpowered.

Definitely seems like a balance concern. Even the Panzer IIIs in now can still be frontally penned with a 20mm.

Armor aside, I would assume the only reason there isn’t a Panzer IV right now is because the devs don’t want 75mm HE

We do have 75mm HE now with the anti-tank guns, though.

Those are 50mm

I stand corrected. Damn that 50mm gun be thicc

well, i presume that you are soviet player, and i do respect that.

the problem with enlisted when introducin a tank, is balance.
meaning that those vehicle might come. ( and in the open alpha, those vehicles were presents )

the point is, back than, the line up was… somewhat messy,
check this phlydaily video where he compared the two tech threes. ( you don’t have to watch it fully, just the 10 seconds where it start.

meaning that if you bring a t28, or a kv2, the only way for the german to counter it, it might be a panzer 4 f2. and even than, it’s situational.

not to mention the impact of a kv 2 that it’s almost like a plane bomb when firing HE.

it would be a lot harder for german infantry too.

so, my idea would be, you could bring a t34 for the russians, and panzer 4 f2 for the germans.

but if you wanna bring further tanks, they have to fight something similar, or capable to pen it.

hot topic.

but we’ll see.

Yeah, tank assymetry is wonky right now as-is.

T-60 vs Panzer II? Makes perfect sense.
T-26 vs Panzer III? Also makes sense.
BT-6(?) vs another Panzer III? Why?

I don’t even plan on using the BT when I unlock it. iirc the only advantage it offers over the T-26 is speed, which isn’t really an advantage in Enlisted. Not to mention it’s bigger and more cumbersome.

Assymetry is probably unavoidable in the long run, however.

it’s not being about symetry, but more like, being able to compete with each other.

if you think about it, a pz II will have less chanches to kill a t34. kinda the same it goes for panzer IIIs.

about the bt-6 counter part, was better having an t38/t35.

but we’ll see. we’re still in earlier stages of this game ( even if in beta )

Bt-7.

The bt-7 has much, much more mobility. The Pz3B is absolute garbage and was replaced by later Pz3 variants by the time of the battle of Moscow because of that. Instead, a Pz35t or Pz38t would be a much better replacement, serving as a vehicle very similar to the T-26.

Also T-28 and Pz4C would probably be fine to have as well as long as the Pz4 doesn’t get HEAT. That way both sides get a 75/76mm HE lobber.

Pz4 is close to T-34 not to paper bt-7 armor

It’d need to be a long barreled 75 PzIV to compete with the T-34, so, no, the T-34 would be incredibly over powered.

Yea, T-34 could compared to Pz4 with 75mm.

You are referring the long 75mm gun, which was only used after the battle of moscow on Pz4F2 and later models. The Pz4C has a stubby 75mm gun with roughly equal penetration to the russian 45mm gun on its APHE round. It also has like 30mm frontal armor, making it less armored than the Pz3E ingame rn.

Eah, eah, as I sad below the only weapon to counter t-34 was flak cannon. But in a new historical researches I was seen a lot of Wermaht an Soviet armies field reports of recent fights at the autumn of 1941. T-34 was not the big problem for panzers III somehow.

That was because the T-34 1941 model had massive reliability issues that were resolved with the 1942 variant. So unless you want to make it that the T-34 randomly loses its engine, transmission or breech, this can not be implemented in-game.

Only T-34 that could be implemented would be a 1940 variant with an L-11 and it would have to fight something like Pz4 (With HEAT) or a StuG III (Also with HEAT).
I would much rather have a T-28 with a KT-28 or the L-10 variant fighting those tanks but with APCBC (no need for HEAT).

A t-28 would mulch infantry if it could get all of its turrets firing, though I’m not sure how Gaijin would implement multi-turreted tanks, and doubt they would just because of the added complexity with little gain.

On the front line, it was enough to destroy the tracks of a given tank and the equipment was practically useless … Of course, depending on the facilities, i.e. technical vehicles, and the speed of advancing enemy units. I have a long document in which the KV-2 did not cope with access to the battlefield due to their weight, poor training and roads in the Soviet Union … Panzer IIIB at the turn of 41/42 was used in school units, depending on how many icho were left (Fall Weiss) and (Fall Gelb). Only 15 were produced …
