Since developers show us they CAN change the progression as they want, i suggest to add medics to the following levels:
Moscow: level 5(TOZ and MP-38)
Normandy: level 5 (Carbine and FNAB) or level 9 (M3A1 and MP-40)
Berlin:
Berlin: Level 5 (TOZ and Drilling)
Tunisia: Level 6 (Winchester M1912 and Drilling)
It’s no need to transform assaulters 1 to the medics.
This would also require a rework of all the squad skill trees to allow for medics to be added to other squads. I’m not against it, but I do think that Assaulter I being replaced by medics is a good way of doing this.
Ok then wise guy, explain to me how you are going to put medics into your squads when they are put into campaigns that didn’t already have them. Where no squad skill tree has medics as an option.
Well… You still need to rework almost all squad skill trees even if you replace Assaulter I by Medics.
As result mix classes is best way:
I mean add equipable medic tools for assaulter/rifleman classes.
These tools can be equiped on second weapon slot or on backpack slot.
After equip it will changes into medic backpack and box.
When soldier will be equiped with this item then it will become to medic with all signs (with medic clothes like it done in axis antitank gunners in Normandy/Tunisia). And this medic can use assaulter/rifleman slots in squads.
When you remove medic backpack or box then you give back medic tools and soldier return back to assault/rifleman.
These tools unlocks in shop after 5-7 lvl in campaign.
ROFL, you just proved my point even further. Since you don’t seem to comprehend, let me FULLY explain for you.
The blue tab of skill upgrades are “squad upgrades” where you can decide what kinds of additional troops can be put into that specific squad. When you have to choose between additional types to add there are 2-3 options to choose from, but you can ONLY CHOOSE FROM WHAT IS THERE. Stalingrad/Pacific have accounted for the existence of medics in those campaigns. Therefore, medics are an option in that blue tab under most if not all squads.
However, those campaigns that do NOT have medics currently, would need their blue tab skill trees reworked a little bit in order to add medics as an OPTION. If not, then you won’t be able to put medics into any other squad except for the medic squad itself.
They can simply add to it like they add to the weapon upgrades once new campaign levels are out? If your main worry is that they would just add a free medic per squad, simply add it to one of the other choices and undo the current selection for the player and allow them to choose again after the update.
Lol, no it is already frustrating that you can only use medic instead of assaulter 1 squad in Pacific and Stalingrad campaign, don’t do this shit in other campaign please.
Just because it forces (starter) players to use a character that can heal and support their team rather than an additional bullet hose with ammo bags or grenade hauler? Fundamentally I think its a lot better for the balance of the game!
People just use them as assaulter squad anyway, most people still don’t use them to heal and support their team, so no point of doing this.
Lol, no for higher level player they can use assaulter 2, but it need significantly higher xp to get those squad unlock. It only add unbalance between starter and high level player.
They added in a change to the AI where if your medic is near an injured teammate, they will automatically heal them. So even if the players themselves aren’t operating them, they are still being useful to support the team. In addition, I see a fair number of players dropping their medboxes around for teammates to use, so I think they are actually serving their purpose quite well.
Not going to happen if you are assaulting enemy position and doing intense fighting.
Because people won’t be lazy enough to not have 1 sec to drop a medbox on the ground.
I am talking about actively heal and support, did most people actively heal and support people by traveling different location to heal different troop? Or just occasionally heal 1 person because he is on the way of you assaulting enemy position.
Did you really see people running around to specifically heal people or just 1 random ai healing your troop because you are on their way. I rarely see this happening.
Lol, read again what I said, I said people drop medboxes because it only takes 1 seconds and little effort to do so. People drop it not because it is effective, it is because they are forced to bring it and why not drop it there so they can possibly earn some extra point.
