A soldier can be revived by a medic if the squad they were originally a part of isn’t wiped out.
Only certain casualties can be revived:
a) Hasn’t been headshot.
b) Hasn’t been dismembered.
c) Hasn’t been ‘dead’ for more than a period of time.
d) Hasn’t been killed by large caliber direct impacts such as AT rifles and from tanks.
e) Revivable chance, which at base is 1/4 of the time when applicable? Possibly increasable with
a perk. This means that only 1/4 of those who have been killed by possibly survivable sources as listed are eligible to be revived.
Revives start at half health which can be increased by a park.
Medic sees a revive icon above applicable targets.
That’s where the unrealism would come in I would say, as chances are most felled troops are already goners so the revivable ones would have to be a permanent thing once it’s decided. Also would be a great reason for people to use smoke grenades, so medics can go do their job easier. Possibly, it would be cool but unlikely if the same troop could get revived multiple times.
This one here will really be a nightmare if it actually goes into effect Can you imagine the amount of bodies you have to start reviving when someone drops a 500 or 1000 and they get killed by splash damage there be bodies all over the field you have to revive
I think it would interesting, probably the one near the center will not be revivable, but the ones at the edge possibly. Call it a scavenge rate of maybe 4 revivable soldiers per 15 in the outer blast zone? Gambling with possible survivors, that’s what I propose.
That also means if someone strangled to death in barbed wire you can revive them or got out of fire and then burned to death that means you can also still revive them unless he died in the fire Or revive someone if they jumped off the building and broke their legs and died
Personally, while medic usage is low and I agree it could use something to bump it up, I don’t think this would be the best solution. Especially with how many of them die due to:
The biggest issue that I see with it right away is that it will be confusing and seem inconsistent to many of the players that try it. Probably resulting in them giving up on it and we are back to square one.
I think the better solution would be:
Give more health to soldiers with the perk
Give soldiers the ability to pull out a pistol to defend themselves while downed (reducing the number of times that enemies just walk up and execute them)
Give more points for reviving teammates (perhaps more points according to what type of soldier they are, like flametroopers, radiomen, etc. that are unable to carry backpacks are worth an extra 50%)
This way its not as confusing as to which ones will be revivable, they still put up a fight, and they are actually worth enough to get people to play as medic.
Even games like HLL, PS and Arma have revive systems.
So unless we want to pretend enlisted is somehow more realistic than those games, it’s not a problem.
