Medic rework

medics should be more of an support unit so i think for killing them you should loose points but they shoudnt have guns(sidearms like pistols yes but no guns) if they use the pistol the loosing points thing disapers

Eh, that might be a little much. I would like to see them have a little more utility other than just being diet assaulters though. Maybe healing downed allies, or something?

Not sure I agree with losing points for killing medics. Not a lot of people use medic squads as far as I know. I tend to use them as a cheap assault squad, good for situational CQC matches.

It would be a good idea if a medic could be placed in any unit, sacrificing something else, such as in the units of the Pacific and Stalingrad. It would also be nice to see a rework of this class and, let’s say, Medic 2 with better stats or even special buildings.

I meant more like revive dead ones. Think of it like combat triage. Maybe it’s a little gimmicky though, just an idea.

Hmm. Definitely not sure about that. We’re playing a WWII game, not a WH40K game. :slight_smile:

Yeah, like I said the point would be to try and replicate combat triage. Medics can provide more medical assistance than an average soldier with a bandage. Just because a soldier is unconscious doesn’t mean they’re dead, ya know?

Imo,

  1. remove SMGs from medics, give them acces to all rifleman weapons (except grenade launchers)
  2. give them option to have 5 shots of morphine (in the main weapon slot) to revive dead allies under certain conditions (no headhsot or explosion damage). It can be resupplied from the medic crate.

Imo this way medics would be super usefull class and milion times better than current pseudo assaulter thing.

I’m not sure how well it could be implemented, but an option to quickly drag wounded allies out of fire would be cool too.

Very good teams in high BR battles.

We are not gonna throw a bunch of Desmond Doss into the game.

Personally, I think Medics will become more useful when AI become more useful as the two are very connected.

just delete this role, it was a gimmick to cater to players used to some sort of battlefield healing in other games. Enlisted doesn’t need it, there are better options to implement the extant medpack life support potions, such as air drops or engineer build med caches.

I use the medic squads a lot. To heal players as much as assault points.

This will only work if they implement AI healing as we crapped on in another thread about medics…

IF and only IF the medic runs around and auto jabs the healing juice into players or bots tagged as wounded then the medic role can be saved.
It can then be disarmed and the red cross retards can allow the correct markings to be represented in game, and you can then give them a new magical resurrection kit that when the role is under player control they can save a soldier bleeding out or some such crap they can copy form other games, to give active players something to do.
Alternatively, stick an assault role as slot into the squad and then your assault trooper can run around with an AI enabled medical gaggle behind them and protect them with SMGs/ARs and harsh language, whilst they bolster a team in defence or attack.

Any other option is just delete fodder.
