Medic priority when requesting medical assistance

I recently discovered that when requesting medical assistance, everyone but the medic will heal me. When requesting medical assistance the medic should be the one that comes to heal you so not to waste your squads medkits.

I’d like to see this too. Ai medics should prioritize healing over combat more in general, it would give people more reason to use them if they were more active with healing. Medics should be as aggressive about healing as the enemy AI gets when you get within melee range

Fun fact, this function was suggested before medics were even a thing in the game.
But apparently devs decided to release a half backed feature instead of adding this suggested by the community and very obvious mechanic.

Let "request medical assistance" be executed by medics first

[image] [2024-01-27 153908] Medical assistance should be completed by the medic first, not the nearest team member. Unless the medic cannot get close due to pathfinding problems, the next best member should be selected based on the number of medkit.
