I would like to see mechanized infantry in the game like half tracks but the maps are to small for the to be useful. So I am going to suggest a game mode that might be great for mechanized infantry. Then I will suggest how the mechanized infantry could work
First the game mode
The game mode can be a large scale battle were you need to capture towns on a map or certain sections of a city. (Historical the Germans would attack using blitz Krieg and how it work was they would send in tanks to weak the defense and right behind the motorized infantry would mop up any resistance this game mode will try to be the motorized infantry part of the attack) the way the game will work is the defenders will have to fight off waves of attackers and the attackers only have a certain amount of waves to take a town/section and it rest after they capture the town/section and move on to capturing the next. If you die as a attacker you have to wait tell the next wave (this will prevent suicide bombing) once the attacks capture the entire map they win if the defenders fight of all the waves they win. (The wave will make the attackers look like a unified group working together)
The half track can be transportation and you can leave with everyone in it but the crew (drivers and machine gunners) and they will stay we’re you leave them until you call for them to pick you up when your ready to move to the next objective.(the machine gunner will defend a half track when you are away). The ai will drive to you when you call them to pick up the rest of your squad and you
