Adding smoke rounds to tanks would help the carnage

I like the idea; I’d be for a variety of ammunition types that could be chosen at the squad screen. Also paint rounds: when you fire them it makes pretty pictures; scares the hell out of people.
Related suggestion: it would be nice if tanks could pop smoke defensively as well.
Smoke rounds would definitely be more useful here than they are in War Thunder.
They’re meant for covering other people, so you could use it to support infantry moving into position very well.
Great idea. Would be cool to see arty smoke as well

You know what’s really great about smoke rounds of WW2? They are not just smokes. They are WP rounds that do nastier things. To quote Wikipedia on its use on Shermans (White phosphorus munitions - Wikipedia):
US Sherman tanks carried the M64, a 75mm white phosphorus round […]. Smoke from rounds fired directly at German tanks would be used to blind them, allowing the Shermans to close to a range where their armour-piercing rounds were effective. In addition, due to the turret ventilation systems sucking in fumes, German crews would sometimes be forced to abandon their vehicle…
The paragraphs above goes more into the anti-infantry and other incendiary uses. The AN-M8 smoke is not as dangerous as it has a different chemical composition.
