If i think of the US in WW2
I think on Bombers i think in the game would be light and medium bombers be the best, after my knowledge there arent real Heavy Bombers to play in that Game!

A 26 Invader would be maybe just a better Havoc but in BR V
Maybe lighter attac plane
A36 Apache
Fighters P39 Airacobra there should be most likely a Soviet variant of this plane as well
Uk Fighter Hawker Tempest MKV in high BR
If you have Plane sugguestion for US and UK planes

I would prefer planes that did realy serve in WW2 i am not that fan of prototypes and even just paper planes!
