but instead of saying “MuH JuSt ReMOve THeM”, how about thinking twice: add more counters!
currently, we have anti tank guns, grenades, various tank destroying weapons, oh… its locked!
now one might say, great, so lets make equal number of players with same level, that would balance the things - well, no, what prevents them from just trying to spade lvl 1 squads or either be a noob with ton of play time that somehow unlocked higher level
for sure, we had explosion packs and rifles for now, but with such beasts and brokenly good (semi-)automatic firearms, dreams fall rather short, so here is my proposal:
each campaign should have diffrent starting equipment, imagine having to assault tanks with 5 people in your squad, 2 of which are equipped with explosion packs in battle of kursk… instead of just using an AT gun or some other ranged AT weaponary
or be forced to use only starting rifles in berlin in a match, where everyone is using light machineguns and AVS/FG
with the addition of heavy weapons, newer players should have at least some sort of actually usable weapons against them and should also begin with some specialists at least…
if you do not believe me, try equipping your squads with lvl 1 stuff and playing the game now, when everyone has grinded to at least ~lvl 15, being influental on the course of battle is just impossible, although i have higher level stuff, it made me realise why my teammates are always so bad - they have nohting to fight with…
