sounds like the complaints about the stewart when Normandy was introduced, before the allies proceeded to stomp regardless.
For as long as I’ve played there’s always been extreme population imbalances that get explained by dumbass excuses like pinning it on a single bad or good weapon.
Shit never changes and most of the community can’t remember anything past a week ago.
I think i can say that i have played all campaigns beside berlin extensively, but i never had a feeling like now in the japanese campaign. There were allways squads / weapons that were fun and gave you kills even when you were underdog. At lvl 13 now in japanese pacific im still trying to find some equipment that shines. In the beginning of pacific you didnt need any good equipment because you were carried by pay to win veterans that went away pretty soon. Now where we have the numbers against use we would need at least some good and fun equipment to be competitive, but at lvl 13 there is just none.
Actually it is even worse. The weapons that work in the japanese campaign are the generic ones like artillery, mortars and pioneer weapons. But the actual japanese weapon set, which should be the motivator to play japanese, are all mediocre, not working or worse not fun.
For example you get the lmg typ 11 and you were really looking forward to use it because so far every axis lmg was some kind of fun. Soon you notice that the weapon has an artificial randomizer to reduze first hit propability. Which forces you to mount the weapon. Which simply doesnt work with most of the pacific ground. However when one of my japanese rifleman grabs a browning with no training on this weapon he suddenly becomes an LMG monster…
The Pacific right now is nothing next to Berlin when it was first introduced.
Before that was Germany getting steamrolled in Normandy and Moscow, and before that was Germany dominating Moscow in CBT.
I’ve even seen this shit happen in games were every faction is basically a team color and everyone uses the same equipment.
Once one group gets a winning streak, everyone else joins them for free wins, which perpetuates the streak.
After a while though you get the total idiots who can´t play the game to save their life playing the winning faction wich is supposedly the easiest. Though by playing that faction they make it worse by spreading the good players on more matches and forcing the few they get to carry them. Like fucking Leeches.
The community kept suggesting a simple, easy to implement solution to would greatly reduce imbalance:
give bonus xp to players having the “play any faction” box on.
Even a ×1,2% (award value) would work.
Playerbase would be spread out a bit more evenly.
But no. God no! DF/gaijin would never allow an incentive that could possibly limit the gains they’d get from those buying lvls (is there really that many retards doing that?)
