Matchmaking not fair

to gaijin. I am a player who always plays this game almost every day. However, lately matchmaking is almost always unbalanced. I was always paired with new players (silver badges) and like they don’t know what they do, while the enemies were majority veteran players (gold badges). Please fix it.

Not agreeing with you here there. We played today against each other and your team and specially you gave us hard time.
Let’s play together. Don’t care about factions.
Ranks doesn’t mean anything.

What would fix this is a major tutorial overhaul. And more permanent implementation of ±1, so far this implementation of matchmaking has been the most successful. Added that vehicle assists should award more points, among other things just to incentivize more. The +15 points are not enough. Factions also need to look at filling the gaps in equipment, and releasing equipment for more than one battle rating at a time. People see a faction gets a tier 5 piece of equipment And everybody flocks to that faction to unlock it. Leading to the imbalance.

This would allow the newer players to properly learn the mechanics of the game, and give them reason to push harder.

While that would help things be better it won’t entirely solve the problem, because that’s a problem that can never be solved in full.

Well matchmaking balance doesn’t matter as its up to the players to chose the faction that he wants to play. Also you do get rewarded for not being a good player in research points wise, not much on silver wise. So it serves as a motivation to work hard and smart next time

what could fix any br/faction imbalance problem would ve removing faction queue but u know that would mean tigers on pacific ,japanese on berlin on both side…etc so lets jusy say that there would ve plenty of ppl mad about it on forums and all that

Dumbest words.
Silver, especially silver before lieutenant, literally mean that’s is a new player. And obvious a random player without experience worse than random player with experience.

Matchmaking is too difficult for them, so you have to put up with it, as many players have done over the years.

except it doesn’t, since it’s based upon how long you play in a BP season

Thank you for giving me a new phrase to use against my teammates

I agree with all that except the soft rule for matchmaking doesn’t work for me at all. I keep get 1-3 and 3-5 matchmaking.

The rank point will partially carry to next season, a rank that is lower than lieutenant(second lieutenant 50 points) means that you didn’t even achieve major(highest sliver rank , 65 points) in the last season. It has high possibility that it will be a new player or as bad as a new player.

Rank isnt accounted for in matchmaking … it makes no difference in terms of who gets put on your team. MM is only based on BR equipped.

While rank can “loosely” indicate how long or frequent someone plays, it is not a good justification of skill or ability where it should be used in matchmaking.

Enlisted runs into an issue where due to events and updates, hype moves around … as such there are overplayed factions and lesser played factions, and which faction that is changes over time. Really the only way this will go away, is to remove the ability to choose the faction you play as (yes bonus xp for join any team could help alleviate it, but it wont fix the problem).

At current, if you want competent teammates, party up with others.

From what I have seen, the match making is much better then it was. Much more of my games go to at least the third objective and several are going to the last, so I can’t bitch about that. You’re always going to have Newbie’s mixed with vets as long as vets play at lower levels. I play all levels but enjoy 1-3 the best because I like the weapons better, and it is not all helter skelter like it tends to be in level 5.

The problem is that some people are trying to obtain the objectives and some are not. Now, that could be that some don’t know what they are doing which should be natural if your playing at level 1-2, but too many people are ignoring the objectives to run around the countryside with their thumbs up their butt completely ignoring the games objectives. Two days ago, my teams lost 2 matches in a row that should have been easy wins because “NO ONE” besides me was trying to defend the objective. So, I would not say the match making is the problem this time, it is the players.

I´m say the same thing about many month back and this issue continues. Cant be play ten battles and 9 defend by one attack; also noted the bad balance cause it´s can be our top player has 35 or 40 kills and our top enemy kills 130; our top player is a colonel and the other team has 3 o 4 marshals.
With this condition the batle start in loosing mode.
Thi is one of the most important reason that only once bu y the battle pass, thats is not cheap.
The truth, the game still boring

That’s why I said a more permanent ±1. A soft rule has proven it is successful. Now they need to make it a permanent rule. That comes with larger player base.

MM is never going to be fair as long as 4 stacks are being tolerated by devs.

It doesn’t matter what faction you are currently playing, as long as you are solo player facing 4 stack, you are going to lose.
And vice versa.

What’s even more disgusting, devs do not want to tell you that you are in unfair match in which one team completely made of solo players is facing 4 stacks.
They even officially admitted they’re hiding this fact intentionally from you.
Shameless.

Speaking of 4 stacks, if we ever did push enough to make them change this hidden challenge I would propose a different color over each of the 4 Players names than the rest of the players. That way you know someone’s in a stack with other people in that match. This can also be extended 2 stack and 3 stack. In the event of multiple stacks they can add a small icon to show who is stacking with who on the enemy team. This could also be a positive change to know if you have the stacks on your team.

But I doubt that Devs would ever Make such a change no matter how much we push them.

Uhm, your argumentation is absolute rubbish, doesn’t make sense at all. Time is key. A good player can just miss one Battlepass and start as a “silver badge” (LMFAO).
A bad or new player (anyone tbh) can just surf the wave of a popular faction, being in holiday, playing 18h a day and being a marshal in no time and yet it says NOTHING about his skills and capabilities.

Something I completely agree with, anyone can be a marshal with enough luck and time on their hands, it means nothing about their skill. But it means everything about their playtime.

Stacking, popular factions, minimal amount of equipment being added to a single tier each update, are just some of the issues that create this “unbalanced matchmaking”

Lol it is possible doesn’t mean it happens most of the time.
How many good player miss their battle pass compare to the number of new players and causals?
How many player can’t develop their skill after playing for that long amount of time?
Using something that rarely happens to prove rank doesn’t matter is just a lame excuse.
The truth is a team full of gold rank will steamroll a team full of sliver rank most if not all of the time.

When it comes to new players, and their skill my first point is the reason. The tutorial barely teaches someone how to play the game. Most players are thrown to the wolves, And without proper ±1 being permanently implemented it only makes them learning that much harder. While they have recently implemented the soft rule, they’re still not enough player base to make the rule effective enough to become permanent at this time. From the information I gather this soft rule isn’t kicking in as often as it should, because the players are either too dispersed, playing at different times, or there’s not enough players in general for this game.

Just because someone has played for a long time doesn’t make them good. I know a large number of players that have played this since 2021 And I’ve got to be better than them, And I started playing enlisted back in 2022. I’m not even a Marshall and never have been, but these people have done nothing but play constantly to obtain their ranks bouncing up and down. And they have managed to hit Marshall put the game down for a month or two and then pick it back up on the following battle pass.
