So here is a simple question. What is the max campaign level difference in a match?
I am asking because since I hit level 5 I get a lot more up tiers that are not very fun. More like 90% of games I am up against enemies with weapons I will not see for the next 4-5 levels of campaign progress (a lot more time that I am willing to suffer this for as things stand). Also I suspect if won’t get much better from that point out.
Is it a problem with playerbase - not enough high level players for them to have fun on a level playing field?
Is it EA level bs with premium squads getting fun toys from the get go?
Is it just an attempt to push players to buy power to compete against higher levels?
This seems like pretty major flaw to me. Unless I am the only one that doesn’t get how to have fun in tier 1 “tank” playing proper infantry support (aka driving forward and not camping at max range untill you run out of ammo) against players with portable AT. That is just one of hard counters but even infantry battles can be a bit upsetting when facing enemies with high end machine guns, flamethrowers and proper smgs
Fun for a 1mag + whatever was left in weapon. Last time i checked you can’t even resupply ammo for weapons of your own faction other than the one you started with or compatible.
Sorry but running butt naked looking for a weapon is only good in battle royale games and only historically accurate for Russians.
Well I admit the game was somewhat fun but I don’t see it going in the right direction so I guess that is it for me.
Just spend more time in game and get more experience. I’ve finished Moscow campaign on German side, got to level 15 in Normandy. Then yesterday started Moscow again as Soviet and got first place in scoreboard on level 1, to my own surprise. It all comes from experience and map knowledge, better weapons and new toys are just icing on the cake.
Your starting weapon kills with 1-2 shots. The important thing is to get enginers and build spawnpoints and ammo crates. This is the most important thing at the start. Your sqaud starts the game with some detonation packs, those are probably most used for tank destruction. So get your soldiers Detonation packs. The strengh of the lower tier tanks is the speed, use it and you have to learn weakspots of your enemy tanks.
So far I thought that campaign levels corresponded to time line in actual conflict, as in better weapons becoming available later on so it only made sense to me that there would be at least some kind of matchmaking.
From responses in this thread I can clearly see I was wrong and new players are just cannon fodder with surplus equipment and every game happens in late years of each conflict.
As I said, good to see you having fun, I am going to disagree and not bother you anymore.
Why ask the question if you already decided on the answer. New players are cannon fodder because of luck of experience and knowledge of the maps.
Finish campaign on one side, then you can easily top the scoreboard on another. Start a different campaign and you will be stomped, the equipment is way less relevant than some players here try to convince you.
I can undestood why people fear a high end MG34+, for me in Moscow axis campaign i had much to learn now im level 22 there and there not much left to do, so i started Normandy last week and now im level 15 there, what i can say about it is that the Normandy campain a bit harder is to play, because both sides has much better equipment on low tier too. g41 u get on level 19 in moscow, but on level 6 in normandy u get the much better g43. Also if u get far enogh in one campaign that u dont need all logistics there then u can use it in another campaign. Also u can pay for it to suffer the pain.
I played a lot of Warthunder last month for Enlisted and farmed a lot on stuff on last event and selled it on gajin market and get around 40 € out, so i used that money that i farmed in warthunder to pay for premium account and battlepass.
