Out of bounds zones are necessary for game balancing. But any attentive pilot can agree that out of the playable game space there are beautifully detailed portions of the game maps that go completely unused.
I’ve suggested this before but i would like to suggest again:
Slightly more space on maps, even 10-20%
would encourage a lot more usage of this game engines nuances and great attention to detail and realism.
The possibilities for player expression and teamwork would greatly increase
You know
This means running a longer distance
The mortality rate of monkeys and novices will be greatly increased along the way.
(Although it is high enough now)
I’ve suggested in the past, but I will suggest again to go along with this:
I think that artillery should have a physical location that it is fired from.
These locations would be outside the playable area for ground troops, but aircraft could go after them.
Giving aircraft an additional way to support their team, while also offering a viable counter to the artillery spam.
Basically if a pilot takes targets and destroys the artillery positions, it make artillery requests unavailable for a period of time (like 5 or 10 minutes).
