Romanian military subtree

The Romanian 4th Army played an important role in the Battle of Stalingrad. Paulus’ 6th Army advancing towards Stalingrad was covered for a long time from both sides. Despite their scarcity of weapons, they used every strategy to counter the Soviet People’s Wave.
In this topic, let’s talk about the Romanian military subtree.

1. Unlock Tech Tree
The Romanian Army subtree is unlocked in a rather special way.
When you unlock a certain level, a new tree will appear next to the German Army tree. And, basically, two squads are unlocked.

• Infantry Squad
  Weapon - Vz.24
  Number of soldiers when first unlocked - 5

• Assault Squad
  Weapon - Orita 1941
  Number of soldiers when first unlocked - 4

The subtree consists of a total of 8 levels.
Each level requires 120,000 experience points.
Experience is only available for Romanian Army squads. You can also get experience points from Potez633 and IAR-81C in German Tech Tree.

2. Level configuration

Level 1 - Engineer
ZB-53 for Machine gun nest

Level 2 - Radio Operator
Savoia JRS 79 B1 for bomber squadron

Level 3 - Bomber
Potez 63(4 x 50kg bomb)

Level 4 - Assaulter 2
Beretta M38 (20 rounds)

Level 5 - Fighter
BF-109G2

level 6 (only for stalingrad full acces pack owner)
BF-110G(2 x 250kg bomb)

Level 7 - Machine Gunner
ZB26

8 level (only for stalingrad full acces pack owner)
Beretta M38 (40round)

3. Squad Customization
All squads provided by default wear helmets.
At level 1, the Engineer wears a helmet.
At level 2, the radio operator has a division caps.
At level 4, Assaulter 2 wears a helmet.
At level 7, machine gunners wear division caps.

Press the heart on the level you want the Romanian subtree to be unlocked from the following suggestions.

1. When the German Army level 5 is unlocked, the subtree is also unlocked.

Interesting idea, but something in my shiver scream, that, they put some romanian and hungarian squad as premium

Best we can hope is the next soviet campaign is the battle of odessa were romanian fought soviet in early phase of barbarossa

They could replace the Orița M1941 in the current medic premium squad with something like Erma MP 36 for example. I’ve compared both of them in the mission editor and it would definitely be a doable swap, but only after reducing Erma’s recoil so that people who bought this squad won’t get angry.

Since it is not “Germany” but “Axis” more Allies would fit well, those new squads and weapons would make it more like the Axis. We could have some Magyars alongside the Romanians too.

Dude thank you so much for the hard work brain storming for Stalingrad ! I like this a lot and this would add so much flavor to the campaign .
After your research, do you believe some sort of guerilla squad such as Tank factory defenders or partisans would be viable in this campaign? I am really just spit balling, but was considering they could have grey zone or maybe stamina buffs, mixed equipment, etc.
Also, just an interesting squad type to grind for other than normal Red Army units.

I just want subtrees in the campaign line.

Sidegrades should be unlocked throughout regular progression… not paywalled as overpriced premiums.

What I was thinking would be something like this:

Subtree unlocks will be available regardless of purchase of Stalingrad Full Access.

But, the two levels in the in-game: BF-110G and Beretta M38 (40round) are only available to purchasers.
