You send them to the safe spot behind you and they won’t bother you as much and don’t die as quick. Setting them in a wide formation also helps.
Removing your squadmates would turn the game into yet another BF clone, i like how i can just go back to the combat instantly without running for 500m, and i also love how many soldiers are right now on the field fighting we just need better AI of our squadmates and also 5 squads of the AI added for each team (10 players + 5 bots) to make it feel like a real war.
Stats in game are lying, look at the data sheet: SKT40 is worse than SVT38
Dispersion is absolutely awful on SKT and you can feel it even in the firing range.
Not like this game doesn’t have any p2w squads there are a lot of them like 100 mag tommy Paratrooper, Fedorov MG, Soviet Paratroopers, Calliope (against infantry), MG42 Early (insane accuracy that can be used as a sniper rifle), 2x Flametrooper premiums that carry more flamethrowers than free squads, Beltfed DP (so Soviets could have 3x MG squads with 100 mag MGs and different loadout for each situation), M24 (great gun and very mobile at BR2), MG13 drum, Colt Monitor/Wz1928
I practically never lose to the Germans, their gear is objectively always the worst at low BR, and at high BR they got powercreeped by both Soviets and the Americans. 11 Matches as the Soviets and lost only once. 7 matches as the Americans and won 6 of them. Few more matches and my Soviet WR will get higher than the Germans (it is at around 78%) and my KD ratio is already better on the Soviets since they are vastly superior.
Can you lower BR of Soviet Tommygun so i could roleplay as the land leased tanker? BR3 over BR4 would be a huge help. Right now i’m forced to equip PPS or PPSh-41.
PS also bring down most of the German and American smgs down in BR it’s not fair that only Soviets have cool smgs at BR2-4. BR5 smgs of all nations should be at BR4 just like Japanese Tokyo Arsenal that is inferior to any BR5 AR as it should be.
i wouldnt even call most of those squads p2w. i would take vickers over 100 mag tommy anytime (maybe just my unnatural hatred for tommy in this game), soviet paratroopers could have been earned for free (although i have issue with no TT alternative to paratroopers), calliope is extremely easy to kill with any vehicle (and most AT weapons). cant really comment on MG squads cause they usually suck and i havent used any of those you mentioned
Those 2 mg positions are prone to cheeky snipers, potentially draining your crew number by keep sniping the same spot, unless they specifically put a barrier there to prevent this, which is nonexistent atm.
I would use Vickers only when i could bipod it other than that it’s insane dispersion kills it for me. Soviet paratroopers can get stacked so you could have both at same time for some insane flexibility not a single nation can throw as many soldiers around point or at the roof or build sneaky rallies as often at low BR with great firepower since you can take PPS-42 or PPSh-41 with them as the main weapon.
As i said Calliope is great and P2W against infantry but very poor against tanks but what does it make a Panzewerfer 42? A complete worthless piece of junk that dies to the fart.
Fedorov MG definitely doesn’t suck it’s an upgraded Fedorov AR but with a better dispersion and a slower ADS speed, it also have zero sprint penalty so it’s extremely powerful in a right hands it’s super underrated.
MG42 Early can be used as a sniper rifle, MG13 Drum removes one of the main cons of original MG13 - small mag size, and ColtMonitor/wz1928 are perfect MGs to storm the point with great firepower and mobility it’s superior when compared to MG34 or DP-27.
True, and I suppose for the back mgs to be truly useful they really need to be able to rotate more. At the moment they have a limited rotation arc and can’t face forward or close to forward.
You know this is possibly a good start to sorting out hte equipment and pre-sets mess - but it looks like an easy fix… how about addressing the major problems such as locking equipment into pre-sets, and showing how many upgrades squads have left and which pre-sets squads are in in the squad selection window??
Would it be too much to ask for an extra crew-member?
It’s a bit awkward atm.
You can only switch to rear gunner manually after spawn and you need to sacrifice your gunner/commander or driver for doing so.
And the AI won’t stay in the rear gunner position. He’ll change back after some time.
I suggest to give one extra crew member; or two extra members and give it BR II rating.
