Making Enlisted a Better Place №30

Each update of “Making Enlisted a Better Place” focuses on a certain aspect of the game or a particular mechanic in which we’ve fixed bugs or have added interesting features.

The improvements are mostly or even completely based on the feedback you have left in the special topics and discussions on our forums and social media platforms.

REWARD THRIFTY PILOTS

You value the life of your squad and the safety of your armored vehicles, so why not also love your airplane just as much by not leaving it in the mud, and instead trying to save it? We will even reward you for that!

From now on, even a crash-landed plane outside of the infantry zone that hasn’t exploded will earn you a reward in battle points. On the airfield, in an open field or flat on its back in a ditch — as long as the plane does not explode, that is all that matters.

Immediately after leaving the vehicle on the ground the pilot will be respawned in the infantry combat zone, and your account will receive points.

The benefits don’t end there. The player who saved the plane will be able to respawn on it, having played on only one squad instead of two, as in case of the machine’s death.

Value your vehicles, and they will come back to you much faster.

IMPROVING AI COMMANDS

This improvement includes fixing a bug you’ve been actively reminding us about.

Previously, capturing a point in a mission would cancel all commands, even those not directly related to that point: building, healing, holding a position. We have fixed that. Now, only commands to hold a specific capture or destruction point (the one that disappeared) will be cancelled.

Additionally, if you leave a soldier with a personal command at a position and then command your remaining soldiers to just follow to the point, the movement command will not be cancelled after the squad has moved further away from the remaining soldier.

Quite simply, from now on, a squad can be divided into groups far away from each other.

OTHER CHANGES

  • Bombers called in by radio operators are now counted as destroyed if they receive enough serious damage to prevent them from flying to the target (engine, tail or wing destruction).

Good changes, I hope you get more than 30 points for landing safely - you have to properly reward players or they won’t bother. Also all campaigns really should get airfields to be able to repair or leave aircrafts for future respawn.

Do you have any plans to show a roadmap for future game updates?
Maybe other people than me are curious about the roadmap.

Example) Improvement or modification of the campaign system, even combining campaigns, improving balance(like relocation of campaign weapons, not capture time/sp point chaging), etc.

I think the problems are getting worse as the updates go on.
The problems are slowly but surely destroying the Enlisted.

This is a great step in right direct with planes, but please look at Hispano 20mm cannon damage, if working as intended I’ll be very surprised. (Tempest, Spitfires)

As for AI, we used to be able to context click on a flag and our troops would attack the point and spread out and defend it, before they never huddled up as they do now, is that something you can look at please? (Formation is standard btw)

Keo, please share us your mid- / long-term Dev. plan “in Advance”.
That is the point - “in Advance”

As a light gamer (newb) here, I cannot follow Your Sudden Brutal Changes up in the game.
(such as Random Spread Effects on MGs, BA Buffs, AA-Gun deterioration, and so on.)
If you had just informed me earlier, I wouldn’t waste my Silver Cards and Gold on stupid Semi-Autos, MGs, etc.

So, I want you make Enlisted a “real” better place.

I agree, it would be really great to see roadmap, not that xyz gun will be added, but overall plans for major design changes, expanding / updating old campaigns etc.

Can the refound the spawnScore when the plane lands?

Really need to have different spawnScores for different vehicles.

The player’s score is of no use in mod missions, they can neither gain experience nor spend the score in battle.

Need some kind of consumption system, similar to soul balance in Cuisine Royale, consume these scores


According to my actual observation and thinking, this kind of reward does not prevent players from committing suicide, they need severe punishment. Suicide and quitting the game in Cuisine Royale will cause soul balance to become 0

I have seen some community players claiming that they will continue to carry out suicide attacks that defy common sense

we really need and want to know how and where the game is heading. how could users trust when we know nothing?

Seconding that these recent QoL features lend a lot of faith to the dev team.

What do you mean by suicide attacks? Just planes crashing, or things like bum-rushing the point with explosives on invasion defense?

Attackers can also do the same, as long as spawnScore is sufficient, they can immediately summon V2 missiles to solve the problem

Nice update.

If you could correct the bug where the green marker for squad order doesn’t appear, it would be great.
Happen a lot when you give the order to go on a objective.

We are not sure. It is important in such a case not to give false information (no one likes liars), but our plans sometimes change and this happens quickly and unexpectedly. Enlisted is still a very young project with great prospects and development in some areas is chaotic. And if plans change, it turns out that we lied to you.

Therefore, we prefer to report what exactly will appear. In devblogs.

I don’t think so (seriously, from my 10 year CM experience). We definitely do not have enough people to respond to some troubles. But it won’t kill the game.

We will be glad to active players in the team of assistants. Communicate on the forum and on Reddit Enlisted, help players, understand the game and James Groove will notice you. You can help the project from the inside. :slight_smile:

OK then, I understand that. but well, I hope Devs at least to Notice us some times before the change, more earlier.

P.s. about the update, I think we need a rest for a while instead of adding new campaigns. both enlisted and users are being separated and exhausted, we need to rework and rearrange current campaigns I strongly think. not only for fixing bugs, but also adding more maps, fitting balances and maybe a campaign changes…
