Makes plane spawn with less energy

Main contents of the suggestions: Make air spawn much further, plane spawn with less height and speed. Even a mechanism to adjust different init energy for specific vehicles

Add the plane climbing process. Equivalent to the process of taking off from an aircraft carrier, as an alternative to the airport mechanism.
This will greatly expand the plane gameplay, cause climb rate now will really affect. Natural air climber like Mig-3 and J2M can get advantages by quickly suppress the opponent. CAS plane can choose to get in the battlefield ASAP or accumulate more energy to avoid being a eazy target. After shooting down an enemy aircraft, you will also get a respite from revenge.

This also adds a new dimension to vehicle balance adjustments, when it is necessary to buff/nerf specific objects, in addition to BR we can now adjust the initial energy.

And there is no need to waiting for the plane lock when battle start. Same as the aircraft in Pacific map.

Any suggestion regarding aircraft spawns that don’t propose airfields is a waste.

Well he did say plane spawn with less energy (title). Airfield qualifies :stuck_out_tongue:

lol exactly. Why propose just a “slow down” when airfields will do that!

This is a waste of time and toxic
The average game time is only 25 minutes
The average round trip time for an airplane is currently about 1.5 minutes
That means you can only go back and forth 16 times
And your teammates are idiots 80% of the time on average
If you want to reduce the poison damage caused by these idiots, you must attack in a shorter time, at a shorter distance, and at a higher altitude to ensure more effective destruction of ground units.
This is why these time-wasting nerfs should not be made

If you want to experience a more pure air combat game, maybe you should find other pure air combat games.
Instead of looking for the air combat immersion that only exists in your eyes in a mixed equipment war game

This change only increased the take-off time.
Reload time remain unchange.
In your word is “If you don’t fly like a idiot and die easily” this won’t have any impact on you.

I don’t think airports spawn will ever happen.

Where can you place a airports on the map when the battlefield itself is a airports? Or we should add British in Normandy map? Adding airports to these maps is impossible.

I honestly doubt it will ever happen too.

Claiming it is “impossible” is a farcical overstatement though. Especially since it has already been done by the modding community.

the only pre requisits for airfields is they need to be placed at roughly equal distance from the play area on opposite sides of the map (from each other, not necessarily the direction of infantry spawns)…that can be done on any map, be it Normandy or Pacific. There is heaps of empty land on either side of the play area on any map

It might not be “historically placed” but that hardly matters at this point.

As mentioned, modders have done it just fine.

You have to take off from a carrier in the Pacific, and at times, an entire control point falls just in the time it takes to start your engine, taxi down the flight deck and then you have 3000-3300 just to get to the battle front. Meanwhile, you get 3 to 6 bombs dropped if your a dive bomber, and have to take a minute plus to turn around, reload and try and get back for another pass. They are also handicapped in that none of their bombs can penetrate a roof made of any material. So, why handicap them more by slowing down airial starting planes?

Now take a tank, who gets a grey zone, can fire a projectile every few seconds into cap point windows, so why not slow them down by doubling the spawning distance for them to get to the combat zone as well?

IMOP, it already takes to long for some planes to get to the battlefront, and the further it has to travel, the more likely it will be shot down before you can make a pass. At times I get shot down before I can make a single bombing run. So, essentially, if people want to slow down planes, I’m fine with it as long as we are going to do the same with Tanks.

Like I always say
Taking off itself is a waste of time and easy to miss opportunities.
Not everyone enjoys watching strongholds fall or suicide infantry being massacred while taking off and gaining altitude as much as you do.
The Pacific has proven this.
That is why we do not need more of these harmful mechanisms.
