We sure don’t want to “send to the rear” our beloved Battle heros, but when aquired early, they lack the features, new ordinary sodliers have. See screen. I have Assaulter I, II, III, but I want to keep my vetereans too. So please give us an upgrade option, at least for the “unique ones” Thank you

Right! After we hit tier II soldiers what’s the point of the unique soldiers?
I kind of like the role play aspect of Enlisted with the named troops and I have some favorite troops in each squad.
I wish there was a way to reroll our favorite troopers over to tier II or tier III even if we had to start them back with their original stats and reset their perks to starter level. Perhaps we could get a few bonus points when they upgrade to Tier II or Tier III.
In the current state of the game, tier II and II soldiers themselves aren’t a significant upgrade over their tier I fellows.
Sure, they have a higher skill points ceiling but, unless I’m missing something, that still doesn’t allow them to have enough points to stack up very expensive perks in the same category, like both vertical AND horizontal recoil reduction.
Moreover, they are expensive as hell to max out, nearly 120 bronze each iirc.
On the contrary, tier I soldiers are cheap enough that you can easily form whole 5-star squads, and I’m having no particular difficulty (aside from the RNG perks roulette scourge) in getting maxed tier I riflemen and assaulters with high enough points for top perks like +35% vitality and vertical recoil reduction.
Before the economy rework, it made sense to privilege high tier soldiers in the academy, since there was no drawback. The new economy made tier I soldiers ever relevant, and I especially like that because, for the aforementioned reasons, even a new free player can build up with relative ease a pool of maxed out riflemen, who can be used to reinforce newly unlocked squads to upgrade them more easily.
