Lol, it still doesn’t change the fact that they barely have the capacity to do it. You are just avoiding the question.
With all due respect to DF since they build some cool stuff. I would rather see them building new tech tree weapons, adding new uniforms and building new maps with all new battles like Iwo Jima, Okinawa and Dunkirk, then see them spending their time creating premium Guerrilla squads. However, I did purchase the squad, so don’t stop now.
I agree.
Personally Im very annoyed they created a specific Australian squad… but didnt give them slouch hats or digger hats.
Like seriously? Cmon!! That’s how we identify them as Australians.
Oh and of course:
American squad with Owen guns
Australian squad with Ithaca shotguns.
What next, a Canadian squad with Norwegian weapons??
when…
you can simply keep them where they are.
I, on the other hand, alongside others, am a proponent for keep them where they are, to allow mixed units for those who wish for.
since splitting units to create new factions has all kind of implications.
for starter, loosing items that i grinded on my main USA / Axis
which it’s funny that you quoted my messages, because it gives a pretty good reason on why you shouldn’t split USA.
half of their smg and all of their mg would be gone.
not offering a whole lot of choises either.
if the game was historical accurate, there could have been an argument on why us and viceversa were using allied equipment, but since it ain’t.
it doesn’t hold a whole much.
not to mention, devs did stated it’s not planned.
but you do you.
ps. they couldn’t fix a camo in half a year.
it took them 7 months to fix the rally points issue back in the beta ( where players spawned with invincibility ).
it took them 2 years to fix bipods
it took them 2 years to fully implement the merge
so… you know
you are kinda very optimistic about them splitting and making a new faction.
but you do have a point.
japan was sort of a mistake.
not fully complete, and opened the gates for fantasy-wonderland.
could have simply stuck to pves or mods.
but that’s my opinion.
for what is worth anyway.
None of them are very realistic.
They usually over estimate equipment capabilities and they still leave huge gaps in the tree.
Even the paper P43bis would be a BR4 tank at best and BR5 would need to filled with German tanks.
A likely list of copy pasted equipment:
- Mannlicher M1895
- K98K (GGP40) or PzB39
- ZH29
- FG42 I
- FG42 II
- (scoped G43 unless scoped zh29 possible)
- scoped StG or FG
- mp28
- Mp40
- TZ-45 or zk383
- mkb42 (H)
- StG44
- ZB26
- Mg34
- MG34 (dualdrum)
- Panzer III J
- Panzer III N
- Panzer IV G
- StuG G
- Panzer IV H
- Tiger I
- Tiger II
Aircrafts are iffy since Italy does have some potent strong fighter aircraft so Bf-109s would only supplement the force, but they would still need strong attacker aircraft, but DF might be able to find German/Hungarian CAS that hasn’t been added yet or they can go full lazy mode and just give the same CAS to both Axis factions.
Other equipment such as mortars, flamethrowers ect may just stay the same German equipment.
And they were bad.
Like the Russian troll trees were filled with American and French stuff. I do not recall their Italian troll tree except that post-level 3 was filled with German tanks, planes and launchers as well.
You mean like how the Japanese Tree is RIGHT NOW?
One by one:
- Mannlicher M1895
Not at all necessary - K98K (GGP40) or PzB39
Not necesarry Italy had a Ton of GL rifles and Two Home-Grown AT rifles plus the Solothurn - ZH29
Not needed plentynof Semi auto or conversions - FG42 I
Scotti Naval Rifle or Cei Rigotti - FG42 II
Scotty Naval Rifle second Model or Cei Rigotti - (scoped G43 unless scoped zh29 possible)
Not really necesarry - scoped StG or FG
Again not really necessary(Japan doesn’t have a scoped Semi or Auto weapon) - mp28
Lol… why? - Mp40
Why??? - TZ-45 or zk383
THE TZ45 IS ITALIAN - mkb42 (H)
Terni Mod. 21 - StG44
Terni Mod. 21 Box Mag - ZB26
Really? - Mg34
Yes - MG34 (dualdrum)
Breda-SAFAT Mod.35 Folgore (Yes Italy could potentially have a 100rnd MG before the Germans) - Panzer III J
Eh, the Italians did use some Pz.IIIs Not really necessary. The P.26/40 and its variants could fulfill these roles - Panzer III N
See previous - Panzer IV G
See Previous - StuG G
All Semovente - Panzer IV H
Semovente M.43 da 75/46 - Tiger I
Hungarian Tiger - Tiger II
Not necessary
[Supplement with Turan and Zirny variants as nevessary
- Ba.65
- Ba.201
- Cansa F.C.20
- Ro.R7
- Ro.58
- SM.89
- SM.91
- SM.92
- SM.93
- Ca.331
- Hungarian BF-110 G2
- Romanian Hs 129 B2
Italy had flames throwers and mortars, bro. It’ll be alright.
What proposals have you been looking at??
I looked into those long ago because I didn’t understand why Darkflow didn’t add any Italian of those.
Italy has 3 flamethrowers and two of them are already in game actually, but those can’t really be moved to TT.
Mortars are just realistically either too strong or too weak compared to others in the same category.
Once again, you mentioned a lot of weird and obscure prototypes and trial weapons, while I wouldn’t be against adding some of them, the player base wouldn’t be happy about overbuffed trash out performing actual mass produced guns. We have seen that with type hei auto, the players do accept that it was necessary but are not necessarily happy about it. Besides you over estimated Darkflow, they are lazy and will take the easy way by copying over content.
Knowing DF things like thess will be premium.
Also note that I didn’t include Hungarian equipment because that actually increases the amount of copy pasted guns.
Most critical was that launchers and SMGs (and late BR Snipers) were US stuff. The British are probably the most potent faction for a potential independent TT. I am yet to see an Italian tank that can be used on BR4 matches. IMO there was also a LOT of unnecessary filler stuff like the first SMGs because Stens are shit enough to qualify as BR1 SMG.
And this was probably the closest thing to a tech tree in a while, and I was not impressed. (I know there are more, but I am not returning to month-old posts just to get your point). Copy-paste weapons are also lazy and prove the redundancy of making separated tech trees.
What also really pisses me off is the inflation of WW1 stuff that is supposedly to fill the gaps, especially of SF rifles.
Might as well open a WW1 frontline at this point.
They piss me off far less than the 27098217217 WW1 and early interwar protos, test weapons and issued weapons that are kept getting used as stuff for those TTs.
I am tired of getting more WW1 weapons than WW2 weapons, especially if they were not even used a way that justifies them beyond GO. Do it with WW2 or late-interwar protos but not the stupid Great War.
I just waiting for British Radio operators, Engineer squads and more iconic vehicle like the Cromwell and a Tech tree Churchill in the US tech tree or more likely going to be event squads.
Adding Britain as a seperate faction won’t speed up the additions to the game, we should really suggest TT Cromwells and Churchill tanks instead of separating factions.
Agreed.
Also a British/Commonwealth APC squad. Currently I have three British (which I say are Australian) squads and an APC squad which is unfortunately American.
I dont see why I shouldnt be able to have all British/Commonwealth squads.
We also used to have British radio operators from Tunisia, for whatever reason they were removed.
Why? They made the FNAB a TT weapon after it was a premium weapon. Also they removed the Italian flame squad from the store anyway. So they could add a TT squad with the Mod. 35 flamethrower.
Really? Im sure the Brixia would be the roughly the same as the Knee mortar and the Mod.35 81/14 would be pretty normal.
I agree overall with your statement. The Type Hei is a huge example of the wrong way to do it. IRL It was rejected for being too unwieldy but in the game its a laser beam with SMG leve recoil, the T20 is similar but not as bad. They should both have as much recoil as the AVT-40 and the Hei should have the 20rnd magazine. HOWEVER, the cat is out of the bag, if they do end up adding Italy/GB I expect to see some off the wall protos and trial guns but that doesnt mean we will have a repeat of the Type Hei situation.
How so? If youre taking the Hungarian/Romanian stuff from the German TT and moving it to a new Italian(Minor Axis) TT how is that copy paste? Its more like CUT and paste, lol. But seriously whats wrong with that? As far as I remember the only Hungarian thing in the German TT is the Kiraly SMGs.
Hungary not only used but also locally produced numerous German designs.
Some were modified like the Me-210 while others like Pz IVs and bf-109s were the same and will obviously get copy pasted.
Some will have a slightly different name like Mg42 being called 42M Grunov other will be the same even in name like mp35 or Walther P38.
On but the question is does an ITALAIN tech tree thag HOSTS smaller axis powers need these Hungarian Produced German design?
I dont think so.
A Hungarian 42M Grunov would be a nice little treat as a GO/Event/Premium. But It would not be necessary .
Id rather see things like 35M Puska, MG30, 44M Kézi rocket launcher, Frommer 37M and Frommer Stop.
A Hungarian 42M Grunov would be a nice little treat as a GO/Event/Premium. But It would not be necessary .
It would be necessary for Hungarians.
What’s the point of seperating factions if a faction can’t even use its own gear?
The Grunov was locally produced for the Hungarian army.
Maybe I haven’t made my point clear.
The Italian tree, as I am proposing it, would be a primarily Italian tree supplemented by Hungarian and Romanian equipment. I would not be a shared tree for all the minor axis powers BUT it would host maybe a few Hungarian/Romanian squads for Low tier(Operation Barbarosa).
This is why I said that the 42M Grunov is not necessary. Because its not a Italian and Hungarian tree, its an Italian Tree Hungary is there really only for the Tigris.
Than why would Hungary and Romania enjoyers ever agree to this?
They literally lose more than they gain.
host maybe a few Hungarian/Romanian squads
Instead of this trash game mechanic, players should be able to choose the nationality of their squad and recruit any nationality as they please.
Honestly what would you lose if Italy stayed part of Axis, but you could recruit any Italian squad, nothing.
But I would lose my mixed deck, I have a mix of Italian and German squads.
I want to have a mix of German, Italian, Hungarian and Romanian squads.
No one complains about NKVD, conscript, regular and guard units fighting alongside. Noone bats eye if SS, Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht, Volkstrum, Geibsjäger and Fallschirmjäger units fight together, so why is nationality such a big deal?
players should be able to choose the nationality of their squad and recruit any nationality as they please.
Yes I want this too! You could have this.
Honestly what would you lose if Italy stayed part of Axis, but you could recruit any Italian squad, nothing.
Battles like Operation Compass, Burma, Dunkirk. which is purely Italy vs GB would never be able to happen if the two countries dont emancipate themselves. But also you will never be able to have battles were only US or Germany participated in. Like Attu or Norway.
