Make the axe capable of taking down trees

I know its been brought up before, but I believe its worth bringing up again.
Considering it costs a silver order each, it really needs to have more utility use than just doing more melee damage, which can also be obtained with a perk. Enabling the ability to cut down/ remove trees with it could change gameplay a lot. Removing cover, or opening sight lines, or even opening a path for a tank. This could become VERY useful.

I mean sure why not, it already destroys wooden furniture faster than knives and swords, so might as well let people cut down trees as well.

Just move? Why would you take like 1min to cut a tree

Again why? Forests tend to have many trees, you sure you would be able to remove all of them lol?

Well obviously not

Maybe a few uses could be rewarding engineer materials, and making these cut down trees not despawn, and make cover, block pathways for tanks.

Maybe add special buildables that can only be built by cutting a tree down, like the wooden bunkers around moscow, fake tanks and AFVs (For realistic mode (yes future suggestion post teaser) )

But otherwise would be pretty useless

  1. Gaining additional lines of sight can be VERY important. Snipers, field guns, and AA guns could all really benefit from this.

  2. If you are just going to keep saying no to mechanics that don’t directly relate to you, please just skip over the topic.

Would be nice if the trees fall down and become a horizontal cover. Or if you could roll it around XD

Cut down trees on the top of a hill and make Indiana Jones esque traps by having them all be held in place with a hedgehog you remove at just the right time which sends the logs down the hill towards the enemy XD.
