To me, removing the visibility of the ranks takes away some of the flavor from the game.
Ranks may not matter all the time but they give you a (very)rough idea about what you can expect from your team, and more importantly your enemies.
I can also somewhat understand the reasons for removing them in the first place, but as a compromise how about you make them visible on the end score? That way, all the reasons for their initial removal are bypassed
They should totally do this. I think not showing them ingame and at the start is perfectly reasonable and somewhat common in games but they have no reason not to show it at the end.
This might just be me but I like to know if the reason my team lost was because the opposing team was way higher rank XD
Ranks doesn’t matter. I had very often battles where the opponent had a lot of gold ranks and I was the only one on my team. Nevertheless they had no chance. Ranks only show “how active” a player is and not “how good”. Even bad players are able to obtain this “reward”. A lot of players with gold ranks don’t play better than the bots in Enlisted and that’s more of a compliment to the stupid bots.
But yeah, they could change it so that the ranks are only available after the battle in the batte result.
Them existing is an excuse for people to whine about their bad skill. No other use
Yea recently I seen team with bunch of name deco but turn out they suck I imagine if rank were visible my team would have left so it actually not a bad thing to hide rank (altho rare name deco player are still good as hell)
Yeah, haha. There’s definitely a hierarchy to the name decorations. The ones you get free through events are hit or miss on whether the player is good. For example, the zombie hand. Was super easy to get. 50/50 chance they suck.
The ones only obtained through purchasing squads or straight up buying the name deco are (in my experience) almost always tryhards. Especially the little double winged ones that are like 1k gold. Those dudes are playing like it’s game 7 of the Stanley Cup final 100% of the time. 
To OPs point, I always liked seeing the ranks. I don’t think I ever left a match because of high ranks on the other team like I do when I see a bunch of sweaty name decos or hieroglyphs.
I think it would be cool to see the ranks of everyone post-match. To me there is no point in having them in the game if you’re the only one that sees it, but I also think the game would get even more of a workout then it already does with me going from Lieutenant to Sergeant and back again after every match.
