Currently there is no reason to use radio operator II.
With engineer II you get new building MG nest. With radio operator II you get nothing new.
How about adding new artillery strikes that are more powerful and unique to radio operator II.
Moscow allies: Katyusha rocket fire.
This would fire a lot of rockets, quite inaccurately but would cover a large distance nad would be effective for holding of large scale attacks or serve as good attacker support.
Moscow axis: Nebelwerfer 41 28cm.
This would fire 28cm HE rockets, they would be more powerful than Katyusha, but there would be less of them.
Berlin allies: Katyusha or 203 mm howitzer M1931 (B-4).
the 203mm would only fire one gigantic shell, but would be quite accurate, and would have a lot of power. The katyusha is the same as before.
Berlin axis: 30 cm Nebelwerfer 42 or 12.8 cm artillery guns aboard the berlin zoo flak tower
The nebelwerfer would be a little bit more powerful than its moscow counterpart, but the 12.8 cm guns would provide powerful artillery support firing more shells than the soviet 203mm, but less powerfull.
Normandy allies: Battleship cannons.
Would fire massive shells that would do big damage.
Normandy axis: Anti naval guns
Would also fire big shells and cause big damage.
Dont know enough about British and Italian artillery so maybe someone could suggest.

Seems interesting honestly.

Would be nice to have a difference besides the high XP cost to upgrade. Only reason to play it now is to run two radio sqauds at once

NAPALM for everybody. Doesnt matter it was in vietnam. NAPALM is the answer.
Agree, this sounds interessting as long as those special abbilities can’t be spammed or are not too OP. I play Radio II class on Berlin only to access FG42 II upgrades but otherwise, it really don’t make sense. Even Tiger tank have seperate tanker class to grind again, lol.

As long as I can spam event fireworks with them like I do rn, I don’t mind 🤷
Fun fact, you can use fireworks as AA arty. My plane got damaged when I was flying through fireworks “barrage”.
Are you sure it’s not from regular arty shells? Maybe it was from someone like me who use fireworks, then immediately after call the red circle on the same spot?
I’m a gentleman like this, I put a fireworks show for the enemies to be well aware of where things go boom. Or does that confuse them instead?
Maybe, I don’t know. I definitely saw fireworks but I have no idea if there was also arty call.

We could have some fire bombs being dropped on the designated area since they were used during the war
They would have a minor or medium explosion damage on impact but would mainly cover a large area with fire
