Yet another proof from a reputable source that MKB-42 was never issued to Stalingrad troops:
10:55 quote: In February 1943 Hitler approves that a test batch of 2000 MKB-42s (MP-43s) is produced and sent to the Eastern Front for testing.
After February 1943 is after the Battle of Stalingrad had ended and well after the Germans had been surrounded and there is zero evidence of MKB-42 ever appearing around Stalingrad in numbers exceeding a gold order weapon in Enlisted terms.
(almost) civil discussion happened here: https://forum.enlisted.net/t/why-is-mkb-42-in-stalingrad/44017
Similarly, now that we will have the Big Update, there is zero need to keep the MKB-42 in Stalingrad (let alone Moscow), as it can be assigned a 0.1 higher BR than those “recommended” for the maps of Stalingrad to load.
(and yes for the record I don’t want to main/stomp or whatever, feel free to similarly remove whatever avt/avs from Stalingrad Soviets as well).
There is simply no reason to have MKB-42 in Stalingrad streets now. Where it never was.
Cheers.
If we’re talking about balance, Fedorov should be reloaded with stripper clips and should have rifle round recoil
Same goes for SVT, AVT, AVS, Gewehr 43 and others.
At this point of soviet pampering I honestly dont care even if they got Ak-12 and t90 to moscow tbh Id be surprised if that wasnt upcoming at somepoint.
Just my 2cents to subject “Remove this because muh history”
edit: We know how avs & other wonderwuffe weapons of soviets functions while theyr IRL counterparts were absolute trash even by soviet standards.
So I highly doubt it gets any deserved nerfs in foreseeable future.
they can’t remove it at least i think because people have spent their time and bronze orders (maybe gold, maybe weapon upgrade points) to upgrade their mkb42(h) so all they can do is nerf but i doubt they would remove it and compensate all the people
like this gentleman say there is balance in this game
and by the way you said there is no evidence that mkb42 was used in stalingrad but i read some where long time ago that some mkb42 were parachuted to the german defenders in 1942 in limited numbers
Sure, feel free to use it in any other map but not in Stalingrad because for people who care and who’ve been there that feels (almost) like M-16s in Normandy.
After the merge weapon BRs will be linked to maps, that’s all I’m saying. MKB will still be usable in Normandy in Berlin.
Same Soviet side weapon would also have BR higher than MKB = balance.
Source?
I just quoted a very reputable gun historian who just said in February 1942 Hitler agreed to start production of 2000 test units.
That’s after Stalingrad.
Not even to mention parachuting your new techs to surrounded “defenders”.
Eitherway, stalingrad will be just like every other campaign excluding pacific.
There will be KT2 and what else, the so called “soft rule” of having historically accurated battles might work once out of 100 times.
So its quite pointless to shed anymore tears about the matter.
If there would be a BR system ranging from 1 - 5
,then I would put the MKB between 3 - 4 probably closer to 4.
Overall the MKB has rather low dps, however it is very controllable and has quite a good dispersion and with the horizontal recoil perk the gun has more potential at mid to long range fights than most semi autos.
Still FG and STG are without a doubt superior.
What do you guys think tho, how does the MKB compare to the tunisian 40 round Beretta? Is it much better or only equal?
