I played this game for 3 days now and since I moved the campaign to Normandy, its literally the most notorious gameplay experience I’ve ever had in my life.
you can literally get spawn killed in this game
you get shot from people, that show clearly from their outline, that they could not see you, which means, only you see it that way. Massive unfair advantage.
some positions in this game may be realistic in nature, but hinder the gameplay experience to an extreme (like almost everything in enlisted)
you have to literally grind your behind off, to get remotely any chance against the gold people your enemy team solely constists of.
there is no matchmaking whatsoever (9 silver ranks + 1 gold rank on alliance against 9 gold rank, mostly max rank even + 1 high silver rank on axis is the norm, not the exeption)
weapons in the beginning are garbage on purpose to keep you down. might aswell fight only with the knife.
So tell me, how is the grind in this game even worth the soul shredding experience that I have to go through?
I only play this game, to play with my buddy and even with 3rd rank I am mostly 2nd or 3rd place in all my matches, even higher than some gold people on my team.
Suggestions:
People on attack or defence cannot not go any further, than their current objective and can have under no circumstance have any clear view on people that spawn (prevents spawnkill)
Reduce the material gap, with tuning some endgame weapons down. Good players should not have to suffer, from bad weapon caps.
Balance some positions with taking cover away, or adding some. (this one baffled me extremly, some have too much, some have none at all.
make progression through campaigns just slightly faster, I have not the will, nor the time to play 300 hrs in each campaign to get a good machine gun that doesn’t sway me 180° after each shot.
Thats in every game and always will be. Its not exactly a bad thing sometimes
And it happens very rarely in enlisted
very
If i cant see you that doesnt mean i saw you near there or you arent there. Bullets penetrate thin walls, bushes and so on. You seem like the people who throw down a smoke grenade and think its a fucking bullet shield. No its not.
No, the bolt action rifles are a near-one shot kill weapons. If upgraded, they can 1HK anyone without an extra vitality perk. I suggest upgrading them at least once, so that you have a higher chance to hit stuff.
Heck, I even actually want a way to acquire them without spending a silver soldier order!
But yes, they, to some extent are a new-player unfriendly weapon, meaning that only (a)historical fetishists/masochists would stick with them.
I suggest trying to join custom matches, with players, they are also rewarding the experience.
Creating matches yourself, with bots only, you get only 20% of experience, but this would give You the opportunity to learn the map layout and generally have an easier and more pleasant time (provided that many players won’t join Your match, but, at least You’ll get more experience - win some, lose some).
Yeah, that is an issue in the game too - I too don’t see much point in unlocking The Todd Howard trick the same gun 5 times over.
At least this could be circumvented via custom battles as well, to some extent.
Another victim in Normandy by playing Allies to face well armed Germans. Something to feed for the Tigers on the hills with a nice view of the beaches.
Im sorry, Normandy Allies is not noob-friendly at all. Do you see those static MG 42s inside the bunkers? They will destroy you noobs in matter of seconds without suppressive fire. Even an absolutely clueless Wehrmacht soldier can mount it and rain down on poor fellow Muricans. I suggest you moving on to a more balanced and more open-field campaign. Like Moscow or even Tunisia. DO NOT PLAY BERLIN OR STALINGRAD. Pacific is overpopulated by Allies grinders which is a no-go zone.
totally agree, I saw somewhere that it was the most realistic WW2 game ever, lmao.
Levelling up is so poor, I am like you and finish above gold payers every time, sometimes top and I have only just reached Captain rank, God knows how many thousands of hours it would take to get a gold rank, no matter how well you do your levelling up is poor, and reliant on others getting you team a win, OH YEAH, they want me to dish out loads of dosh, have you seen the prices they charge for something that would not even make much of a difference. Those prices are crazy, makes me wonder what kids have robbed from their parents bank accounts just to win, this could be a great game if only it wasn’t so unbalanced, I would gladly pay a fair amount for it, but as it is it’s full of people with either too much time on their hands or too much money that their sense could handle. Pay to win, yeah you have done great, the Devs really know how to manipulate kids.
wait, they give campaign exp!? i thought custom matches are only done for fun! TIL something to the point i actually posted a reply.
the bunker machine gunner are actually the easiest one to snipe IMO. it’s the other snipers that’s the real issue… they are either annoying camper or experienced sniper.
Tunisia are IMO currently slanted quite a bit on axis player hording around. But i agree that the map layout is the friendliest for newbie (source: me). Moscow are a pain, the map is good but the allies seems to have somewhat better playerbase there? skill and gearwise.
by gold players, you mean those with paid elite subscription thingy? or do you mean the fancy round rank thingy on the right of their name? because if it’s the second one, it’s… surprisingly not that hard to achieve. can also confirm it means jackshit on the gear or skill (source: me).
people cry about campaign levels actually need 5-6 month to finish all campaign(with beer) plus they added xp booster. max you need 2-3 day battle time each side.if u play 8 hour other game and 1 hour this game : ) yes it’s hard to grind. only squad lvls and xps are boring need to rework
