Germany is quite lackluster in the figher department in BR 3. Either crap guns, very little ammo on the good guns, and/or terrible turn times. I feel like the fiat’s bomb load is too small for high tier and there’s just better options as well. Would love to run it in BR3 and feel it fits nicely there.

Germany has IAR that is dominant at low BR. BF109 K-4 with 250kg bomb at BR 5.
And now you feel they need a plane that many think is strongest at high BR at BR3?

Bf 109 k 4 is nothing compared to p 47. Also fiat would make more sense in br 3 as it would be able to fight in tunisia where it belongs

I play U.S. and germany so not just a german main wanting more. I truly think BR 3 is lacking for fighters. Yes, IAR is incredibly strong for BR1, k4 is not OP or anything though. U.S. gets p47 and 4p4c at end game lol. So dont try to say u.s. planes are behind in end game matches because they’re definitely not. Regardless this is specifically about BR3. So those planes have nothing to do with it. I still don’t think fiat is that good to be in high tier and gets overshadowed quite a bit by other fighters in that category. U.S. also has the spitfire in BR 2 which i bring into BR 3 matches because it’s that good. I wouldn’t mind them taking the fiat’s bomb load away and dropping it’s tier if that’s what it takes. It’s alot closer to the spitfire than anything else.
On a seperate note, i also feel U.S. is deserving of a good BR2 attacker that isn’t the dauntless. That’s pretty much the only attacker plane viable in BR 2, where as germany has a few different good choices in that bracket.
(I know there’s the p38 as well in br2 but i mean something with bombs not rockets)
Didnt fiat g55 serve after tunisia??? (starting in Italy, and mostly absorbed into the Germans). Mc 202 was Tunisia
I would like some more heavily armed fiats, but it is one of, if not the best fighter Germany has. Even at br 5.
Its the only one that can dogfight soviet fighters well

Thanks for the info. The plane was present in the old tunisia campaign so i assumed that it served there irl.
Bf 109 g10 is also really good dogfighter. Sadly it doesnt have bombs

Yes G-10 is good too (more verse USA). I still take Fiat g 55 when I need all the help i can get though. Best possible chance at winning an Air fight

The fiat also shows up in the tier 3 column in TT, foldered beind a BR 3 plane. It’s guns arent even that strong in comparison to u.s. planes as well. Just 4 HMGs and 1 20mm. It’s only saving grace is the turn time which spitfire outshines in still along with it’s multiple 20mm cannons.
I better prefer use G10 than K4 in br5
Fiat G55 was meant to be BR3 but someone somewhere complained about it pre-merge and now it’s BR4.
It has firepower comparable to BR3.
2 100kg bombs is nothing crazy, P51-D has 2 500lb which are effectively the same as 2 250kg bombs.
It has extremely good turn rate, but its also slower than other aircraft on BR3.
I don’t see people fly the G55 on BR4 since the Bf-109 G6 is more popular because its much faster.
Moving it down with a BR might do the magic it needs.

An airplane with more than 50 kilograms of bombs (including 50 kilograms) is a good airplane.

We’re talking BR 3. It’s mid tier, going against BR2-4. There’s literally no good fighters in BR3. Everything u.s. has in BR2-4 easily compares or outperforms the fiat still

Because they already have good enough low levels they don’t need good level 3
Just like most of the early aircraft of the US military were junk, they only got the third-stage P51D and the later HV rocket.
P51 - 2x 500lb bombs, 6 HMGs
Whirlwind - 2x 500lb bombs, 4x 20mm cannons
FP5 - 4x hvars, 6 HMGs, drop tank
AP1 - 2x 500lb bombs, assortment of MGs
Boomerang - 2x 250lb bombs, 2x 20 cannons
These are all u.s. BR3 planes. Didn’t mention p38s
(Granted Whirlwind and ap1 are attacker planes)
Germany doesn’t even have a solid BR 3 fighter that’s premium
U.S. spitfire with 4x 20mm cannons is the best fighter hands down and it’s tier 2.

Germany tier 3 planes are awful. Fw 190 a4 has broken flight model, horrible cockpit view, bad turn time and no bombs while bf 109 f4 trop is just bf 109 f1 without bombs

I use it all the time in BR3. BR3 (and 2) is what i like to play most. Point is, in my BR 3 lineup the only thing missing for germany is a good fighter and it’s a bit ridiculous
