if bombers had the choice between a throw-able Satchel Charge and and Rocket Launcher they might be used more…
also give us spool of wire to and a plunger/blasting machine to detonate Explosion Charges manually from cover realistically a maximum of 35-45 meters of wire would be acceptable so you can get far enough in cover but not soo much that people can basically wire explosives half way across the map
this also opens up the potential for a new perk that will allow your soldier to carry like 15-20 extra meters of wire.
New Perk
(
5) +15 meters wire reel capacity
The Engineers current building selection menu can be adapted to be used for this purpose, it would just need 4 options.
Plant Explosive
which would dig a small hole and plant an explosive.
Wire Reel
which would pull out the wire reel and allow you to connect the explosive/explosives to the blasting machine
Large Blasting Machine
which would put a blasting machine down in a location of your choosing capable of detonating up to 12 explosion charges wired to it (realistically they could wire up 50 charges to these)
Hand Held Blasting Machine
which would pull out a hand held blasting machine capable of wiring and detonating a single explosion charge (realistically they could wire up 10 charges to these)
Wire Reel

Potential Wiring layouts (yea i know there’s probably a couple layouts i missed but that’s all i could come up with off the top of my head)

Large Blasting Machine

Hand Held Blasting Machine

this would make grenades more useful for attacking like breaching a position and explosion packs would be more useful in a defensive way like loading a main road with charges as you wait for the enemy to walk into the trap
cause currently everyone just equips an explosive pack… the rest of the throw-able’s are barely ever used… like honestly throw-able explosion packs are a band-aid fix for tanks because there’s no real AT existence in this game other then overpowered TNT and its really unappealing

This is an arcade part of the game I agree. But unappealing? I often end up in the last quarter of players because I am hunting for a tank that has a good driver and repeatedly wipes my squad while I attempt to demolish it. It’s the best fun to throw the detpack and then watch as the tank turns into fireworks.
Otherwise I like the idea of the detpack + wire.

-.-’ if things ever get to that point i just pull one of these right next to the tank
in the game you can equip anti-tank / infantry mines, it is only a choice of the players to use them or not but everyone prefers dynamite because it is much more comfortable and easier to use than being sniped from afar while placing the mine, in your reasoning there is a very large failure, many players have already grinded dynamite for many of their teams, do you really want to nerf it so much and damage the gaming experience (arcade) to everyone?
I think remote explosives should be an addition, not a replacement. It would be fun to wait till enemy arrives to a building next to cap point as it does usually, then push the button and wreak havoc.
Also add to it some shovel that helps to hide the detpack if outside.

I was talking about not being able to launch them anymore, not placing them, I like the idea too
in no way am i asking for a nerf to dynamite… in actuality it will be much more deadly because with a blasting machine you have no detonation timer… the detonation is near instantly as soon as you hit the plunger or crank the handle… what i am asking for is an end to this abuse with TNT being used as a hand grenade/instant tank incinerator…
sure i can look at things objectively and realistically and agree that a tank should be blown to shit if you detonate a charge directly underneath it with the explosive firing directly upwards like how it would if it was placed in a shallow hole don’t get me wrong there…
but for throwing an explosive pack at the front armour or side armour and it just turns the tank crew to ash thats fucking stupid… these tanks have upwards of 3 to 4.4 inch thick armour plates on the front and sides… that kind of armour isn’t just 1 explosion and its done… like yea maybe a 4kg explosion like im suggesting for the Bomber soldier to be able to equip instead of the PIAT if you don’t want a rocket… but not 5 sticks of dynamite… 5 sticks is maybe 2.5LB at most… each stick weighing about 1/2 a troy pound…
The explosive packs are perfect as they currenty are. Nerfing them would only turn tanks into next target of complaint.
If you want demolition kits, then that’s ok for me, but not as a replacement for explosive packs. They should be a stand-alone, just like explosive packs and grenades.
Only plant them is the problem, because are used even aganaist infantry now ,make them only plantable is nerfing the rest is a nice suggestion
demolition kits were throw-able satchel charges… usually 4kg (8.8LB) of explosive in a bag… they would be useless if explosion charges are kept as is because everyone will just be like "why the fuck should i use 1 demo pack with a bomber when i can equip 3 explosion packs on every soldier in my squad…
think genius think…
no the problem is they are able to be used as a hand grenade right now… it makes grenades useless because explosion packs have a larger blast radius… and realistically if you seen an enemy throw an explosion pack with a fuse you would just pluck the fuse out of it and bank the explosive… cause the only way to detonate a pack of TNT i that day via throwing was with a light-able fuse… a timer fuse would be susceptible to being broken when you chuck the stick and it lands…
Yes but how i say, to many players has switched to tnt and use like granede, stop them to use like granade is a nerfing for the actual gameplay, and this damage the player wo had to grind a lot for replace tnt with granade the rest of suggestion is ok but leave tnt throwable
its called getting rid of a band-aid fix… it’ll only hurt a little bit but if you rip it off quickly the pain will be minimal.

Well… if you don’t want to place explosives directly on the tank, use AT boy and deal with it at range.
No hurt a lot with enlisted actual grinding is a death blow to the game
I don’t understand.
You are the one that says that tnt “must” be thrown. (More or less.)
Read all the post use your eye
like honestly how the hell do you think the Bombers Demolition Kits will ever be useful if you can instead equip every soldier in your squad with a better demolition kit x3…
… there’s no incentive to use demolition kits or even the bomber soldier right now because you can do everything the bomber can do with a fucking explosion pack on any soldier…
Sry, it was so somilar to another topic that I mixed them
