I’m sure this has been posted a thousand times but I’m here to beat a dead horse again. Vanilla appearances for most squads just look terrible, and you can’t do much about it because we’re drip fed either customisation tokens through BP’s (that get delayed indefinitely due to “unforeseen issues”), or overpriced gold costs. To emphasise how crazy it is.
Germany is spread across six “campaigns” (with repeating cosmetics in a few of them)
That’s 13 tokens needed on average for one soldier, so that’s 78 needed for an average squad of 6, so that’s what, 478ish needed tokens to dress 1 squad across the 6 campaigns. The latest BP only gave 160 tokens. Of course for nations like the US where you’ve only 4 campaigns, or God bless, Japan who only has 1, the strain isn’t as felt, but if you say play across all factions (like I do) then it’s absolutely ludicrous. I don’t know that just seems silly to me, how a game looks can be important to how it feels, and given everyone’s dressed like a re-enactor on a budget it looks a bit silly. Seeing as there’s no plans to remedy this and no real plans to improve the cosmetics overall, at least make it less grindy to engage with the cosmetic system that currently exists.

Yeah, let’s screw with all the players who bought cosmetics for gold before.
I mean you can still buy them for gold and will presumably still be able to if this gets accepted…
I mean, if you chose to buy a 6 man’s squad worth of cosmetics, so what, 2340 gold? Idk why you didn’t just buy a premium squad for that price, it’s overpriced and I stand by that.
I don’t like spending 240 gold for a single chest piece, for one soldier.
Germany but far have it the worst when it comes to glaming a whole squad.
I would like them to lower the gold cost and make it so we can buy packs like 100 tokens for $5.
Silver is good too.
Glam is everything and I’m surprise they haven’t updated this already.
Make it easier for us without buying the battlepass or waiting for an event to get tokens.
If anything, skins and customisation should be THE monetizated aspect of the game.
Making literally everything for free is such a great idea. I guess people want to just kill off the game completely.
Because the premium squads are free right? And not like 20 bucks a pop if not more.

Never thought any of the squads were that hard to counter honestly. The most broken imo were the Italian flamethrower and British flamethrower squads, neither of which have been back since. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Alternatively they could fix the default cosmetics but they’ve ignored the most thought out cosmetics suggestions time and time again so I’m not holding my breath, even the closed alpha’s didn’t and beta’s didn’t have this problem.
Well they will soon appear if that becomes the only income don’t really worry about that. :)))
I’m really not, they die all the same, can’t say a premium squad ever gave me any grief. 
I have 1000 of those cosmetics taking dust, I wish I could sell them

Could convert them? They did it with bronze and silver orders, or if they insist upon it, could keep them, making cosmetics silver, token or gold, sort of akin to weapon upgrades.
So you are concerning about DF’s financial situation. 
I have never been aware of DF’s income situation, nor have I heard of any “Enlisted are dying due to lack of income source”, so I will only look at this matter from the perspective of the players.
I think players who bought cosmetics for gold are like 1% or less compare to the whole playerbase.
Considering that DF gives cosmetics orders very generous in events and BP. I really can’t imagine DF incomes is from cosmetics rather than selling premium squad which have crazy price.

If gaijin wants to compensate the loss of money somehow, they can bring to the game seasonal/battle pass cosmetics /or even squads/ which may be not a bad idea. WW2 has plenty of unique squads and apperances. I hope they introduce some.
For example a whole new season - "the Blue Division’’ - spainards, epic, unique, new nationality, axis, new cosmetics, new wapons, paid extras.
And this is how a battle pass should looks like. Players experience something they deserve, gaijin compensated the previous cosmetics /or even boosted/.
Everyone is happy.
If the player buys a soldier’s outfit, then the soldier should get this outfit in all battles. This is as it should be, but this cannot be done in the game.
That literally will make DF starve to death, but at this point they deserve that and many worse stuff…
