Make changes to research tree. This is ridiculous, that you need to purchase and research all previous items/squads. I am older player who did play this when we did have campaigns. Now i have “here & there” unlocked stuff, but no i can´t use them because i need the previous items unlocked and purchased.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question (it’s not an issue for me) but do you actually have to purchase them and not just research them?
If so, I didn’t realize that and find that pretty unreasonable. Researching should unlock progress without purchase of squad and/or vehicle.
I need to do both first research then purchase it. Like i have some “early” war stuff to unlock from pacific campaing for usa.
well, that sucks. I agree that people need to research through the tree but nobody should have to purchase squads or vehicles they don’t want to use.
I got a pre-merge friend who just started playing again, he was not very happy when he learned that he has to spend hours on unlocking gear just so he can finish the research of his gun.
Now we are getting to the real problems.
Here we go. Do you mean unlocking or unlocking and purchasing?
Requiring unlock through the tree is at least supportable (with argument). Requiring purchase of each sqhad/vehicle (to allow unlock of the next) is not. I have no ability to check without starting a new account (which I will not).
To advance forward into the tech tree, you must RESEARCH, AND THEN PURCHASE the item to be able to advance forward. You can research an item, and then research the next item, but you must buy them all at some point to have the item you seek.
That’s totally broken. Should be research only.
This negates the purported advantage of the tech tree. Sure, you can avoid researching entire lines you don’t care for (e.g. I would just leave tanks alone), but I thought that, logically, you could unlock new items with research and then only spend silver on the items you wanted.
If it’s true that this it not the way it is then it needs to change.
I feel like the devs (or more likely, their management) are making decisions on monetization and matchmaking based on today’s player base while knowing that if it doesn’t grow, the future is bleak. They need to make decisions based on logic and the player base will respond accordingly. Make it less painful and you’ll have more players.
