Current, bot will literally instantaneously melee any enemy if they in range, even when its back toward the target. It is extremely frustrating to round a corner, find a bot back toward you, and he just instantly snap 180 and melee you.
I suggest adding a slight delay for the bot to melee once someone is in range, for example it could be around 500ms. And also limit the FOV where the bot can melee, aka make the melee auto trigger detection a cone in front instead of a radius around the whole soldier.
To be honest, one melee attack shouldn’t kill you, it should take at least two blows as it shouldn’t carry more impact then a bullet. They neutered the AP mines to the point where they are almost useless other then to slow someone down, it’s time to neuter the melee attack to a more realist level.

Another thing is stop demanding bots to be stupid. Bots are supposed to be effective, not just dummies for killing.
Bots react very well to melee combat. When you attack them head-on, expect a reaction.
