Make Berlin maps available for BR 2.0

Hello

I’d like to suggest that Berlin maps be made permanently available for BR 2.0 lineups.

The majority of the weapons and equipment from the BR 1.0–2.0 tech trees were used during the Battle of Berlin anyway—aside from a few tanks. Lower BR lineups could still provide a fun and intense experience on these maps, and it would open up Berlin to a wider variety of players.

With Victory Day as a symbolic and meaningful occasion, it would be the perfect time to implement this change and give more historical variety to the game.

Off the top of my head nothing of this has anything to do with Battle of Berlin.

Is this “a few tranks”?

Well mp 28, mp 34, zb 26 and mg 13 would have probably been used by volksturm. But it would look goofy seeing ab-41 fighting t28s near reichstag

At the same time, we are also opposing the Stalingrad map of BR4-5.

I mean yes the Germans probably used anything that could shool Mauser rounds when they got their backs against the wall, so a case can be made for any weapon being once used there, however it would indeed be insane to see T-26 drive all the way to Berlin with guys holding PPD-34s.

Since PPS-43 and MP-3008 from low BR were in the original Berlin campaign, the best solution would be Even Fight/Event/historical gamemode, such as:

Dude, more than half of what you listed is BR 1.0 — not BR 2.0 — and what I said was that most BR 1.0 and 2.0 equipment was used during the Battle of Berlin, with a clear focus on BR 2.0. There’s a big difference between what you’re assuming and what I actually meant. When I say “most BR 1 and 2 equipment was used in Berlin,” I’m mainly referring to the various Kar98k and Mosin variants,Mgs,PPSs — all the small arms that were very much in use during the street fighting in Berlin, and that are common in the BR 2.0 range in-game. Plus, most of the stuff you mentioned barely sees use in actual BR 2.0 matches. Like, who’s using the PPD-34 or the BT-7 at that BR? People stick to meta vehicles. So even if they exist in the tree, they’re not representative of what players are bringing into matches. Also, saying “none of this has anything to do with Berlin” is just a bit of a stretch. It’s not hard to imagine Pz.III J or even Pz.IV E being deployed in urban defense late in the war. And T-70s, while not frontline tanks by then, still could’ve been used for recon or in rear support roles. Berlin was total chaos — they used whatever was left. So yeah, maybe not every single BR 1–2 unit saw action there, but saying none of it was relevant to Berlin just isn’t accurate.

And honestly, if we’re going to nitpick historical accuracy, then Armaguerra wouldn’t be anywhere near Normandy, and King Tigers didn’t fight in Stalingrad, yet in Enlisted, you see matchups like that all the time. The game is full of historical overlap and simplifications — so trying to discredit the Berlin campaign based on a few low-tier weapons that barely see any use isn’t really a strong argument.

They should open all maps to all BRs now that they are redoing the BR system. More maps available to players = more happy players.

quite many people actually. In fact i see those weapons appear even in br 5

No berlin map aren’t good for low br equipement
