Make arty squad an exception

apart for the hitboxes its all subjective.

Maps? Do you really wanna tell me that Reto made more maps than Darkflow? Do you really wanna tell me that Retos maps are better (remember that they had only one dude who made them who isnt even on board anymore) despite their map design and their “latest” spawn concept have been hated to the ground in the forums?
Same for gunplay. Nobody liked Adams conefire, the introduction of inf scopes/ removal of iron sight zoom, the RNG headshots or the Armour 2.0 hotfix which turned tanks into sponges. Remember Squad 2.0 Reto defended for years until they realized that nobody liked it?
Same for historical accuracy. Soviets vs USA in Sweden, West Turkey, Ireland and Switzerland? Didnt know that happened in WWII.

But ofc its “subjective” (like any opinon lol)… Sure. The game is constantly losing players, the dev team is getting smaller and smaller, they still dont make profit after so many years, the vets and the three remaining clans are blackpilled and the game/ the non-war-mode (lol even forgot the name) is filled with bots (oh and the forum has been closed permantly).
“Subjective”… sure… its just that the majority (and the market) has the “subjective” opinion that HnG is trash compared to Enlisted otherwise Enlisted wouldnt have so many former HnG-vets.
Praise the market. The market is always right.

im not arguing that H&G is trash but personally i like the H&G maps more than the enlisted ones,
so yes it is subjective.

Some likes the good old tank vs tank spawn camping by the city’s River. Lol.

Nah in reality h&g was condemned to die at this point. It was good when it came out, but there where many bad decisions taken around it untill it died. It also doesn’t help at all that they where using an in house game engine. Which by all means it is a ton of work for something that in reality gets in the way in the long term. Specially for an small developer.

Thanks! Admittedly, indirect fire is not my area of expertise. I’m familiar enough to fill out a 9-line, but that’s about it.

Pretty sure it had absolutely nothing to do with devs not knowing the history, rather balance. Especiatly at RTS side, which was one of the major factors that kept that game intresting for quite some time.
Without the RTS of HNG it wouldnt have lasted 2 weeks.

Well they took the exact same road as this game has taken to some extension “realism”
what used to be fun fast paced game turned in few updates to completely unplayable 50 shades of grey pile of steaming shit.
Its relatively easy to figure out thru steamcharts where the downfall of the game began.

And thats exactly what HNG didnt do nor seems to this game do.
