i just think 750 is a bit much.
albeit on the most powerful pistols it certainly isn’t such big problem but like non premium 1-2 good matches for 4 pistols doesn’t seem like good deal
I thought about this when actually giving my guys them and figured i’d bring up the topic… they are very useful in certain situations but i still think 750 is a bit much for a sidearm.
the pistols that cost 750 silver now, used to cost 3000 silver, as much as BR3 to BR5 weapons used to cost.
Idk, I feel like the 750 silver is very fair.
There’s no downsides to having them, they’re just a slight extra utility to pull out when you empty your main gun but still need to finish someone off.
historically speaking, pistols were not standard issue items for the common soldiery, but individual soldiers often went to great lengths to aquire one anyway. Capturing enemy sidearms, purchasing one privately, “borrowing” or otherwise aquiring one from military stores. US soldiers often brought or were sent by their families their private pistols from home. This 750 silver, it’s not a huge ammount, but it is noticeable, and does a good job at representing the effort a lowly private might do to aquire his own pistol.
On that note, I think pistol selection should be expanded in the game, since most used pistols by enlisted men (and Officers in militaries with a tradition of the officers procuring their own sidearms privately) were purchased privately and that many pistols were also sold on the civilian market and specificly to exports. I’m not saying I would give my UK soldiers C96s, but the option to do so would be nice for others I expect.
just increase the amount of silver gain per battle and that change wouldnt be that neccesary
Perhaps 500 silver coins would be more suitable.
Yeah i didn’t even bother with looking at them pre economy change but around the same price of a mine especially when you compare doesn’t seem right to me.
i mentioned i’m non premium because if i was still paying for it id be getting around 5k a match in which it wouldn’t be that bad to me
