Make ALL machine guns / AA sights on tanks operable

I’ve noticed that only some (not all) MGs on tanks are operable AND that none of the AA sights for turret-mounted MGs (when the commander is unbuttoned) WORK as they were designed for their real-life counterparts. This is especially true for a lot of Russian tanks like the KV-1, T-28 and BT-7 that have really cool rear-facing turret MGs but are simply window-dressing …completely useless.

In-game, player-controlled functionality of these MGs & AA sights are crucial for enemy infantry suppression and warding off aircraft bombing / strafing attacks.

Case in point: I really love the Italian M14/41 and its premium cousin, the M13/40 (III) in the Tunisia Campaign. I was actually going to BUY the premium version so that I could have a fully-upgraded low / mid-level tank for the post-update, battle-ranked matchmaking. I’ve since changed my mind. The main 47mm gun on this tank is decent enough, but without the twin Breda hull MGs and an operable AA sight, this tank is (and always has been) a sitting duck for its inability to repel infantry attacks or to protect itself from enemy aircraft.

I don’t know if this a coding issue or what, but bottom line: PLEASE make these additional tank MGs and AA sights operable.

If you look at the different tanks in the game, you can find machine guns or even cannons that are “for decoration” that don’t shoot at all…

Right – I mentioned that (KV-1, T-28, BT-7 to name a few) and my point is: (if they can be coded) why not make them all operable? I’m not expecting everything all at once, but like the recent addition of operable view ports, the devs should consider these types of requests for tanks on future updates.

good question. dunno.

i wish at one point they add animations/poses for when the commander uses the hatch mg. it would be nice to have that coupled with hatch mg sights. don’t know how viable that is in terms of workhours though.
