Aim assist has been literal aimbot since the game came to console, please make it normal aim assist, preferably very low aim assist, and not something like Call of Duty has. Just anything that isn’t “click left trigger and lock onto target”
most console players need it from what ives been seeing also its not that bad unless youre playing lower tiers

“most console players need it” isn’t a good excuse for having literal aimbot in the game. Bad players are rewarded enough, by sitting in the backs of maps with snipers or tanks. Being in a 1v1 scenario against some noob who can spam LT through a bush and kill me when I couldn’t even see him isn’t good gameplay.

tbh even with aim assist, most console players suck hard.

Console controllers are in no way the same as a mouse/keyboard setup. They need aim-assist simply because controllers suck for FPS games.
Once they give console players M/K controls, then you’ll see a difference. Until then, unfortunately, console players will use aim-assist.

I don’t care that they use it. The problem is that it’s LITERALLY aimbot. And for players like me, who can’t use it, because it does more harm than good, that’s simply a bad gameplay decision. It’s a net benefit for aim assist to be like every other fps game, while also not being completely unfair to play against. It gets rid of the aimbot problem, makes it more fair for everyone, while also being extra useful for controller players of higher skill. like why not just make an aim assist strength slider, at the minimum? 100 being what it already is, 0 being none, and you I’m sure you get what I mean. A slider for aim assist at the minimum is the best possible thing.
Console player literally average 20-40 kills a game unless its a bot lobby while anyone playing with mouse and keyboard brings in 50-100 kills if they try. Everyone gets destroyed by console players once in a while.

Yeah, which is why I play with cross play off. Ive spent years playing console, to be good on controller. And I am. And it’s being rewarded because I’m one of the best controller players. But it’s still just annoying when I’m aimbotted by some noob, and then I can’t even use aim assist against KB&M players because it’s literally too strong. So I use no aim assist, because it works best for me. An aim assist slider is all I’m asking for.

It’s not though. I’ve faced an entire console team, and they can’t shoot for shit, unless they get a minute to focus on me.
That said, cross-platform should work both ways, which it doesn’t. If you’re on PC, then you don’t get the option.

Okay, so then here’s my final reply and request. A slider for aim assist would be very preferable, there is literally no downside to this. And do what Destiny 2 does with cross play. There is NO cross play between PC and console. There is always cross play between Xbox and PS, and cross play between console and PC will only happen if a PC player is in a joined lobby with a console player, in which that/those console players will always be put into a PC lobby. Which is exactly how it still works in D2, and I’ve never seen 1 person complain about that. It’s a perfect system, honestly.
