Make AI explosive-proof

rn ai really likes to stick together, making grenade launchers essentialy squad-deleters… just… do something about it!

Make AI explosive-proof

try wide formation , sometimes it can be bit useful, besides grenade launchers were nerfed

You can change the formation of your squad from Close to Standard (Medium) to Wide. Changing the formation comes in handy a lot of situations.

It’s fine as it is

You can split your soldiers instead of just letting them clump. this is even easier to do if you are in a building since you just place them in campy spots like under stairs. behind bookcases, etc

What’s the point of tossing a frag into a room before pushing in if the frag is only going to kill the active soldiers of the enemy squads?

Ya, this is one of the worst suggestions I have read yet, makes no sense especially when considering that this game is going for a realistic take.

Yep. And explosive proof could mean so many things. Does he just mean grenades and rifle grenades? Does this apply to tank HE, artillery, bombs, mortars? AI being explosive proof makes so many things in the game pointless to even use.

I have a feeling he just had a bad match and posted this without thinking about it

man, i got 15 kills in 2 shots, not very diffrent when im being shot at by one

frag can yet be countered, soldier who throws it has to either throw it immetiatelly, giving other team time to flee, or he holds it down and is vulnerable for some moments, while grenade launchers are a no-brainer

this is definitely a solution, but the problem is; when i notice a guy is aiming a grenade launcher / frag has been thrown / tank is about to shoot, i dont really have time to issue an order

How about changing your formation its not rocket science

btw, when plane drops bomb, AI doesnt lie down, making the soldier i control magically be the only one to survive, there is no way to tell AI to take cover

If you laydown, your AI will lay down too.

If they ain’t on the ground, that means you ain’t on the ground too.

Easy to follow.

you sure? i ussualy dont see this behaviour when i keep eye on them

You can try it on practice mode.

Lay down, and see how your bots behave.

they lie down when you lie and are not moving, but if you run a bit from them and then lie down, they will first run to you, then take positions around you and then lie down, and in the course of battle this is quite time consuming

First world problems…
