Major play issues

I really enjoy the game, but there are 2 big issues that need to be addressed. First. Spawn. I cant count how many times I was killed while spawning. I spawn I get killed, sometimes losing 3 soldiers. Second, the battlefield. Many times I get caught when the battlefield changes and I dont have time to get back to battle. This happens no matter what team.

I assume you are spawning on a Rally point. Thats the cost/nature of rally points.

You have spawn proteciton in default spawn

You dont have time to mess around in retreat. Once thats cap is gone, you leg it! The idea is either to fall back immediently as fast as you can, OR delay by aggressively fighting to the death (The idea is to die quickly but take as many as you can with you so you can spawn back on defence fast)

There is time… Just no time to dilly dally. Its a momentum game.

No, there often is not time. You are also guaranteed to lose your entire squad as they get shot in the back or just hang around.

For one thing I believe there should be “progress towards retreating”. I.e If you are actively making an attempt to retreat, the black wall of death will not kill you. It’s just wrong having people running (they are not staying put and shooting) and they run out of sprint and the game kills them.

You rarely know where the black wall of death will apply and are often miles away from the next objective.

This leads me to my second point.

Defenders should be given time to actually defend!

I had a game then where I spawned, ran straight into the house (1st objective), ran upstairs and started building a HMG. There’s no way to make that any quicker.
As expected, by the time the HMG was built the enemy was already swarming down the hill and capturing the rooms downstairs.
So much for building an ammo box. Surprise! Enemies have entered the room and everyone gets killed.

What is the point of constructables like czech hedgehogs, sandbags, ammo boxes and MG nests/HMG if there’s never any time to build them?

Once an objective is lost a new objective appears way over whoop whoop. Defenders have to run all the way back, as Ive said you lose your squad to being shot in the back/black wall of death.
By the time you reach the new objective, it’s already being captured.
Even if you beat the attackers to it, theres certainly no time to set up any of those buildable structures which make the game more interesting.

Ive played games where the enemy captures an objective and the exact second it is captured (that is not an exaggeration), the next objective has already started to be captured.

I would suggest the capture of an objective creates a countdown or something where defenders have time to set up defensive positions. How wisely they use that time will depend on the player, but it would be better than the current stupid system.

Id also like to see far more squads with some form of vehicle to assist in movement around the maps.

While I agree that the defenders should have a cooldown until the attackers can rush and snowball the next objective, like in BFV, currently this is not the case.

And when you are defending it’s mostly beneficial to suicide the remaining soldiers and instantly spawn at the next objective instead of running back or from the new spawn that has moved.

A fighting retreat is usually more effetive.

I don’t know man - steamrolling is too easy, there should be a capture point delay like in confrontation.

not disagreeing…there should be alot of things, like Capture lockout, and no map progression to all defenders are wiped

Im just saying, if you are johnny on the spot, there is time. never been beaten back by greyzone. (not saying its good)

Agree to disagree.

In defence you don’t have tickets, so suiciding your squad will have no impact on the team’s resources.

However, the faster your team has a new rally point near the next objective, the less time will be wasted by bot squads/bad player squads running from default spawn to the new objective.

Plus, enemies are often already closer to the new objective than the new default defensive spawn.

So the sooner you get bodies onto the new objective and get a rally up, the less are the chances of a snowball.

Imo “fighting retreat” and taking those 5 extra enemies down is detrimental to defence.

Objective lost - build a rally asap.

Note:
It’s a bit more of a tactical play but, if you only have one or two soldiers left alive, don’t retreat. But, don’t camp either. Instead, charge the enemy with your remaining men. You’ll be sure to die, BUT will have broken enemy momentum a little…

With the goal of spawning a full fresh squad on the next point

Death before dishonor!!!

That was the second part of my post :stuck_out_tongue: "aggressively delay :stuck_out_tongue:

No more words needed.

Too many new players just dilly dally around, looking here, looking there, “oh nice house” which is 300m away from the point THEY have to attack and NOT focusing on the objective.

Today was hardcore - 4/5 battles my team mates nearly reached 1000 points while I scored 4500 points and fought alone against the whole enemy team.

To all newbies: Just focus on the objectives, build rallys and dont dilly dally around (thx Myrm1don for a new favorite english word).

Indeed! I haven’t read all, eyes still hazzy in the morning, lack of caffeine etc.

But we think alike

Note:
That tactic is even more “rewarding” while playing Japan and ditching your rifle for it’s bayonet or straight up Katanas :stuck_out_tongue:
