Just a thought. There can be an event or premium guerrila squad bassed off of the italian mafia. In ww2 they played a large part in intelligence and espionage witch played a large part in the invasion of Sicily. This would be a realy cool squad to have and could inspire different guns bassed on modifications used by criminals. It would be silly to see them in d-day but you can find the french resistance in japan. This is a very rough suggestion but i cant be the only person that has thought of this. Any criticisms or ideas?

A very unique idea.
Id rather this than Japan getting a Tiger tank for example.
My concern would be glorifying the mafia since they are a criminal organisation that still exists.
Not saying I personally would make a big issue about it, but others might.
I also think there’s more appropriate squads to be added first like
British commandos
Polish Resistance
Dutch Resistance
Austrian Resistance (see Battle for Castle Itter)
Indonesian freedom fighters
Filipino guerillas
Papua New Guinea guerillas or ‘fuzzy wuzzy angels’ medic squad.

Polish guerillas would be much better imo, they have some very interesting homemade firearms that would be very cool as an event or premium gun

Also very racist, Italians in suits with what gold chains. Also does anyone need more of the standard Thomsons. Something like the coast watchers or windtalkers would be fun and more diverse than Italians but allied.

Then we should get the Polish campaign with Polish forces. I’m pretty sure something like a battle of Studzianki with LWP + Polish resistance fighting the Germans might work. It would be silly to add them now.

I want Poland as a campaign, early and late war.
There could be Polish squads in USA-UK tech tree + USSR tech tree.
Tobruk and Monte Cassino are also opportunities for Polish squads.

Some Poles did fight with the USSR against N@zi Germany, iirc they were the first to Berlin?

Well, i’m Polish, and i wouldn’t be happy to see my country being put into the Soviet tech tree and i’m sure that others would agree on this one.

Yeah, it might be in bad taste, but so are the NKVD and they’re already in the game. As for the squad ideas, yes to all of them and I would like them added to the game in exactly the order you presented.

A Polish faction which queues up with the Allies for Normandy, Bulge and the Soviets for Rhzev and Berlin would be amazing, cmbined with a new all BR 1939 Battle of Warsaw to Warsaw Uprising campaign, where the poles can fight against either the Germans or the Soviets.

I’d love both. As a Dutchman that has lived in Indonesia I’d love to see Bambu runci armed freedom fighters and Dutch resistance with stuff like pistols only.
Dutch could also get a regular military squad. Unlike some troops ingame, the Dutch fought both in Europe and the Pacific from the start to the end of the war. Starting in their own uniforms, ending as elements of other militaries (US, UK and Oz).
But I digress. Mafia would be a cool addition as Guerrilla’s for the Western allies, for sure.
