If you’re sniping people afar the Base LMG is better than a 4 star BA at range. After 100m, the LMG does more damage and has a higher kill rate than 4 star BA’s. If your BA isn’t fully upgraded it’s worst than a bren at the 70m range mark. Seeing how if you have a Bolt action, you generally want to be afar… where the bren has the advantage of damage… and up close it has the advantage of not being punished for missed shots.
IF you’re in CQC, the LMG has the advantage of wounding your entire squad, than sweeping them up. Where the BA would kill one than catch a bullet while pulling the bolt.

so if you fully upgrade your sniper, the lmg still has a further range it can oneshot with. It being 248m~ and 220m for a 4 star sniper rifle. Than if it’s not 4 star it’s around 180m for the one shot range.

Only thing compelling so far is that MGs do a different job than rifles. From an economy point rifles perform just as well if not better depending on situation (with the exception of close quarters, Something they arent designed for)

Yeah accidently called it a sniper rifle… and meant bolt action, as putting a scope on it makes it better than an LMG, but that’s the point I was trying to make the base Bren is on par at range with 4 star, and superior to base bolt actions at range.

And At what point does that matter. Unless its invasion no map is going to have you engaging at that range (these maps are too small), and without optics you will see sweet FA.

But in CQC RoF when we’re both 1 shot to wound, you hit one of my guys. I hit your entire squad before you get a second bullet off.
assuming I run with my entire squad…I never bring them in, I always leave them back…so I have 9 guys to try my luck 1 on 1 with your 4. Soooo many variables. none of them say OP. Just more suited to close quarters
I must agree that LMGs shouldn’t be used like SMGs but the rest is fine. This type of gun is meant to be powerful when set up properly.
Issue is do you think they would rework the entire broken mounting system to make them good, or fix them. Issue is also a lot of people are playing pre 5-star team setups are done. Which I dont agree with even existing cause it cause so many balance issues.

and idiots are also acting like you cant single fire the bullets… A lot of those shots where up at the top of the bell tower, to go down below to shoot 5 people. That’s the thing I can either hipfire spray from a good distance reliably like i had an smg, or use it like a semi-bolt action and single fire em.

So in that clip you got 2 kills with 30 rounds, and then 3 with 17. Thats hardly 30 kills from the hip with each mag. nor is it any where near 30% accuracy. You’re approaching 10% accuracy territory, a far cry from what you were claiming

Now tell me mister lol I could hip fire at that range 5 perfect headshots? I abused the fact they had Kar98k’s so if I moved and aimed where I was last, doesn’t matter if I spray. Also I had time open and half a clip with other full clips, so why not reload. IDK what will happen.
I’m saying it does need a rework, but the only one we would see soon is a stat change over a rework of every entire map and what counts as a mountable place for a gun. Til than im running and gunning and getting kill streaks with the Assault rifle.
