How do you use the machineguns on tanks other thank the coaxial? The M5a1 for instance has one coaxial, one forward mounted and one on the pintal on the roof. The game seems to only say it has two but I can’t seem to even use anything but the coaxial in the gunner seat or make my other crew fire the top mounted one.
you can’t. The models are taken from war thunder, if they were to add this function they would have to redo the models which can take a lot of time and money
but in Warthunder when you fired the machineguns all of them that coud fire in that direction and were modeled would fire. Here when I fire it only does the coaxial and the top (depite it being listed in game as existing) doesn’t seem to ever fire.
The roof mount requires the commander to be out of the hatch to fire.

So does that mean I have to switch to the commander and do it (I dunno what botton is to pop out the hatch)? No way to make the NPC do it?
Yes. Swap to commander and press ctrl to get out to man the gun. Note that your commander does become vulnerable this way.

Ok if I do that then switch back to the gunner will the NPC man the gun or no?
no. only you control the gun.
If you’re using commander out of the hatch the tank you get access to the main gun and coax MG.
