i have still not seen any mention of mg42 having those actual rof. neither 1800 nor 2000 rof were mentioned on that page you quoted.
also most often configuration of mg42 is 1200 rof and it came with 50 drum or 50 round belt that could be linked with other belts. 250 round belt was configuration when it was deployed on static positions from which they wouldnt move and it was made by linking 5 50 round belts.
btw if they wanted they could have easily linked 1000 round belt by combining 20 50 round belts.
lets start with quick summary from your source
1200-1500 rounds per minute
then we find that 1800 rounds per minute:
One of the most notable features was its high rate of fire, about 1,200 rounds per minute, with some versions reaching 1,800 rounds per minute, faster than the British Vickers machine gun’s 600 rounds per minute.
ok what versions?
checking on wiki for 1800 rpm mg42 you can find this:
In 1944, the material shortages in Nazi Germany led to the development of a newer version, the MG 45 (or MG 42V), which had a different operating mechanism that used roller-delayed blowback as opposed to roller locking. For this reason, the MG 45 is considered a different type of firearm, as the mechanisms of these two guns are different. It used steel of lesser quality, which reduced weight to 9 kilograms (20 lb), while retaining the horizontal cocking handle. First tests were undertaken in June 1944, but development dragged on and eventually only ten were built. The tested MG 45 fired 120,000 rounds in succession at a cyclic rate of fire around 1,350 to 1,800 rounds per minute.
Don’t bother with him he will just keep saying I want my 1900 rof with 250 round in TT because hey he’s probably tired of losing so much lol but no seriously just ignore him lmao
Well, you can put it in the Research Tree as indicated as MG42V with its 1800 rate of fire and a 250-round magazine, but it is in the Research Tree as an Improved Version.
Why is it unfair to ask for the corresponding cadence and ammunition belt? Why, if you have that logic, the PPSH41 and the Thompson should have their cadence lowered and the drum magazine removed?
That’s like the equivalent of me asking to add the stinger into the tech tree cause I said so idc about the ppsh as the as44 is ten times better or Tommy’s lol as I do play all factions but what your asking for is literally the equivalent of a stinger and we know how much it made German mains cry when it got released lol
Like you don’t get how this gun your asking for can make this game so unfair lmfao like yeah as a event weapon I can see it releasing but imagine a squad of Germans just running around with this cause it was in the tech tree and I’m not speaking for any favorites I’m speaking for all nations cause you’re too blind to see how bad this gun is for the game
Buddy go to the German tech tree and there’s this gun called mg42 don’t know if you haven’t reached it yet but it’s there and you can use it but it has 50 rounds but it should have 100 but you know you should leave that rock you live under and you know take a look around the tech tree lol
Of course it not gonna have it lol your better off asking for mg42 with a 100 round in TT since you know gajin is gajin but for what your asking you gotta do a lot of begging and praying for something like that to be added lmfao
actually it has both. 50 round drums were standard issue for mg42 when they were used as LMG and 900 rof is mg42 with heavy bolt. also for your claim of 250 round belt, here is quote from wiki cause i am lazy:
Belts were supplied in a fixed length of 50 rounds, but could be linked up to make longer belts for sustained firing. Ammunition boxes contained 250 rounds in five 50-round belts. A 250-round Patronengurt 33 belt was also issued to machine guns installed in fixed emplacements such as bunkers. Patronenkasten 34 and Patronenkasten 41ammunition boxes could hold up to 300 belted rounds and were used in more static non-highly mobile situations. The Patronenkasten could contain an Einführstück belt starter-segment
