i personally cant use the jumbo is slow the HE shells comperad to the m8 are a joke and the heat are far better in every aspect.
the m8 despite being a glass cannon in my opnion is far better if used in a proper way

I think since some days/weeks Jumbo’s armor is bugged.
I always read people complaining about impenetrable Jumbo’s armor and I’ve been killed by a Puma, Panzer III N, bombing runs, etc, or maybe devs did a shadow nerf to his armor… Really, sometimes is better use my sherman, than my Jumbo
for those who say “get gud” etc, I’m seriously thinking in edit a video about Jumbo being killed in different ways.

the m8 it’s an extraordinary anti infantry tank.
on the other hand, the jumbo it’s better for tank to tank combat.
it’s somewhat similar to comparing a fighter with a bomber.
yes, they are planes, but due to the characteristics, are usually used for different purpouses.
same it goes for tanks.
M8 gun is better yes but when you stab it with a knife it blows up and that makes it pretty balanced as a glass cannon.
Jumbo gun is slightly less aoe but still good, the ap rounds vs tanks are not great but it is a moving bunker. I preffer to not die every time and keep playing the same tank over shooting a few times with a better gun and die in each tank vs tank engagement.

I don’t think Jumbo being killed by bombs is a bug. I saw in 80-90% of times how bombs explode on Jumbo and did literally 0 damage. That time it really looked like a bug.
M8 is better for fighting against Panzers on a hill because it’s much easier to penetrate them from roof with M8’s gun rather than Panzer’s frontal armor by Jumbo or Sherman

The Jumbos front armor is really strong but the side armor is not. The ammo racks are quite to the front. If you angle the Jumbos armor like you would a normal tank the enemy can shoot your ammo and you blow up instantly. (same with Sherman but without the extra front armor) Same with tnt, bombs everything, if you toss it near the front side. However if you dont angle it and face front, only the mg can be hit.

The M8 sure is more fun than the Sherman (don’t have the Jumbo yet). Fast and small and the HEAT round often kills tanks in one shot. With the Sherman’s stupid AP you can penetrate well, but have to aim for every single crewmember or component. Still, the Sherman is more versatile. Can turn the turret much faster, can use a machine gun without exposing crew and has actual front armour.
