Just from curiousity, which gun do you prefer and why? It would be cool if you could say good and bad sites of these guns and how much M2A1 Carbine differes from Infantrymen’s M2 Carbine.
m2a1 has more recoil but more damage and more faster rof than m2, that’s all i can put here

no difference the m2a1 has more recoil than the m2
i prefer the Thompson little more manageable than the m2 which has way to much recoil but the Thompson cant hit squat after 200 m

M1 Thompson is pretty solid with less recoil that the M1A1. Id save the golden order for better weapons like the G43 kurz

m1 thompson is the best non gold order weapon in the game tied with the fg42 mk2. Dont know about m2a1 but thompson is essentially a ppd that fires .45 and yes that’s as awesome as it sounds, just needs more control at mid range engagements.
going to second this, if you play or ever plan on playing axis that thing actually IS the best weapon in the game, bar none.

I have the first Thompson on Normandy, recoil a bit bouncy, prefer the M2 for now, the last Thompson might be better, but for me M2 right now.

The M2A1 kicks like a Mule but generally a short burst towards an enemy is always enough for me to take them out reliably, despite the weak round.

Once you manage to put an upgraded Thompson into the hands of a soldier with -40% vertical recoil perk, you get a devastating close-mid range combo. Still hard to hit stuff past 50-60m, but within short range it’s a jackhammer.
